Ever since that night that Trevor lied to Natalie, she had been avoiding him. She studied in the dormitory so that he would  not be able to find her. She was wounded by his dishonesty. Trevor had no chance of repenting, he hardly understood his girlfriend’s problem. He sent texts to her vainly, she did not want to talk to him. While his cousin’s relationship and his bestfriend’s relationship was flourishing, his own was diminishing.
He gave Erin the leave that Steven requested and he left Class D with whatever they were doing with much faith in Steven.
Days passed, weeks and he still was not talking to Natalie. Probably their relationship was as good as dead. Why? He was not sure.
Ultimately, the big day of Hamerton arrived, the day of closing school and Dissolution of The Parliament.
During the weeks that passed, Natalie had managed to isolate some blood samples from the school hospital wing with the aid of Steven. They did some diagnosis on the samples in their equipped lab, working with a senior who was on their side, namely Suresh Patel originally from India. Suresh was the Minister of Science who among many more other leaders, was going to drop from governance at the Dissolution day.
Until that day, the team had not cleared everything, but, they were able to administer the dose of dimercapol into the drinking system, a temporary solution.

The school media arrived at the Parliament hall with all excitement to capture the great moment. The board of directors, and other components of the school also participated from the back seats. Trevor took his position at the front of the mass, with relief knowing that he was holding that post for the last time in his life.
After being welcomed by the speaker, Trevor rose, drew to a platform and spread his hands on the decibel. He looked around the hall, and once again after a while, met with Natalie’s gaze. He almost shouted her name on the microphone, it was banging in his mind badly. They were closing their school what if he was never going to see her again? Why did she leave him just like that without any explanation?
He sighed audibly to the whole hall and looked away. “Board of directors, Principal Archibald, other stuff members, the vice President, Prime minister, Ministers and Members of this Parliament, Students and prime stake holders of Hamerton schools, Good morning.” He begun. They replied and he went on,  “I Trevor Tommy have been the President of Hamerton school for the past two and a half years. I thank you Hamerton students for electing me as your President and I acknowledge your cooperation to the date that, I’m concluding my term of office and likewise, all the leaders here.
“I thank my colleagues, my Vice, my Speaker, the Ministers and all the Members of The Parliament for cooperation, advice, support and diligence that has managed to keep this 15th governance term of Hamerton successful. We had rough times such as the Power fluctuation problems that took place last year, the bombing at the park close to Block 1 and the Hamerton Chief Building. We also lost our fellow students during those awful events including; Arnold Fredric, Bradford James, Cameron Lid, Raymond Big, Michael Reece and Caitlin Brooks.” He paused catching a glimpse of Natalie. Her face had saddened but, he had no time to wonder why. “With that said can we all rise and remain silent for one minute to remember a part and portion of Hamerton that we lost in the tragic attacks.”
There was a little scramble and the mass had risen. The hall quieted for the next minute offering silent prayers to the deceased.
Natalie shed tears for her best friend and so did Erin.
“Amen.” Trevor concluded and the hall settled again. “We are stepping off power but, we promise to offer our maximum support to the coming leaders. I pray for a peaceful and fair election. Let us all observe the constitution of Hamerton and stay faithful to our virtues and principals during the time of campaign and balloting. My word to the leaders stepping down is that, we should let them govern us. We are not and never have been perfect in ruling Hamerton. We may have a President from Junior High, we must give him or her yes, her, help as much as we may give a senior student. I have not succeeded to eliminate classes in our school community in my time but, I hope that the coming President will check on this and I will always remain an advocate of equality and peace among all students.

“Today, 2nd August of 2013, I dissolve the 15th Parliament and assembly of Hamerton school.” He said the word. There were sighs of relief throughout the hall. He had to chuckle and conclude, “Get ready for the general elections on 8th of October this year. I wish you all a nice holiday.”
