“Steven? Steve?” Ingrid called running to him who stood behind his locker in the empty hallway.
Steven turned behind and fixed a short smile. Ingrid walked close to him and he noticed that she wore a worried expression.
“Hi?” she greeted first.
“Hi.” He replied.
“When did you get back? Today?”
He nodded.
“Okay.” She sighed. “I really missed you.”
“I missed you too, Ingrid.”
She did not look very sure that he did. “Everything okay?”
He raised his eyebrows. “Yeah, why do you ask?”
She made a step closer. “Maybe I needed to ask if, we are still okay.” She said in a low voice, glancing at his lips then into his eyes. “I thought that you would put your hands around my waist and kiss me or something.”
He was silent, observing the movement of her little pink lips as she spoke. He bent his head, putting his hands around her waist to do just what she asked before somebody’s grunt interrupted.
The couple parted. Ingrid turned around, siding with Steve to face Trevor.
“You are back.” Trevor reckoned, holding a reproachful gaze against Steven.
“Yeah. Yeah, I am.” Steven said nodding. He did not realize the problem yet.
“Trevor?” Ingrid snapped at him, indicating for him to leave.
Trevor glanced at her but, acted as if he did not understand. He wanted a moment alone with Steven. He resented him for lying to his cousin. She loved him… “Listen amh, Ingrid, Erin has been looking for you.”
“What? I just left her downstairs a minute ago.”
“Well. She is looking for you, now.” Trevor said in a bit hostile manner.
Ingrid grimaced. “What’s up with you? Ah, this better be good.” She said and left hastily.
Steven turned to his locker. “You ruined a moment.” He said and locked it.
Trevor walked behind him and clutched Steven’s shirt when he turned around. “You!” he growled.
“Wohow what’s your problem?” Steven asked feeling baffled.
“You’re a liar and a cheat.” He claimed, banging him against the lockers. “How can you lie to Ingrid? She trusts you! She loves you for God’s sake! How can you be so unscrupulous as to side with the other seniors in their evil plans? Everyone on the good side look up to you as their hero. Why Steve? Why?”
Steven begun panting. He did not imagine that Trevor of all people discovered the truth.
“Don’t you have anything to say for yourself?” Trevor shouted in rage. His face turned red.
Steven gulped. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He said eventually.
Angered by the answer, Trevor drew back to throw a heavy punch on Steven. “You are a snake! You were contacting Simon, Natalie’s ex, so that he could keep her from returning to Hamerton.” He went on, panting and sweating heavily.
Steven held his right cheek, staring at Trevor gruesomely.
“You are such a bastard Steven. I thought that I could trust you!” Trevor said and paused to catch some breath.
“Trevor. You have to calm down.” Steven asked, compassion suppressing the anger that may have roused in him from Trevor’s blow.
Instead, Trevor held Steven’s shirt weakly. “You… you were like a brother… to me.” He said in a struggle. He was getting sluggish.
“Trevor. You are sick. I have to get you out of here.” Steven said, taking Trevor’s hand and placed it over his own shoulder. “I don’t want you fainting on me here.”
Trevor mumbled a few stuff and lost the strength to continue.
Steven maneuvered him out.

“We have a problem.” Madam Sue walked into the conference room and said.
Archibald and Brian sat behind the long oval table while Edgar stood behind his seat, leaning his hands on it thoughtfully. He glanced at Sue when she walked in. “What? We thought that you had a plan when you turned the students in another uproar.”
“Don’t give me that Edgar.” Sue said excusing herself. She occupied her seat opposite Archibald. A secretary walked in the room with her coffee and Sue thanked her.
“Welcome Ma’am.” The secretary replied.
“Okay. Have you also managed to reach her parents yet?” Sue asked.
“I got her dad. He said that he was in a site and he will reach us back in a few minutes.”
“Alright. How long was that?” Sue asked.
“About ten minutes ago.” The secretary replied.
“Reach him again then.” Sue said with impatience.
“Yes ma’am.”  The secretary agreed about to leave before Madam Sue called her again. “Yes Ma’am?”
“On second thought, please bring me the receiver once you have connected with him.”
“Yes Ma’am.” The secretary agreed and left.
