                                     HAMERTON

For new readers; Natalie joins Hamerton, a large school that has a lot of things going on, most of it being illegal and terrorizing. She is agonized by the news of her friend's tragic death and she has to face up with the Hamerton's bloody governance in order to secure the President's badge that has the power to decode a bomb that could cause a large massacre. She teams up with Trevor, the ex and most renowned president of Hamerton and Class D students against Nicky and her fellow evil seniors.

Previously on Hamerton;

Yesterday

When they reached the lobby, Steven could no longer carry Trevor on his own. He needed help. He called for it and some juniors responded.
“What happened?” Carlito, one of two boys who assisted Steven asked.
“He just fainted.” Steven replied. “But, we’ll not take him to the hospital wing. Please help me carry him to the leader’s quarters.”
“Okay.” The boy replied and helped with his friend to transport Trevor to his bedroom in the leader’s quarters.
Once there, Steven shoved off the shirt that Trevor had on, leaving him with a vest on as he laid on his back on the bed. Steven used the shirt to fan him for a while, sitting on the edge of the bed next to Trevor’s body. He sighed afterward, hoping that Trevor would not have to go through coma like the last time. He could not afford to take Trevor to the clinic because, Ingrid and Erin would find him there and when he would wake up, Trevor will immediately tell them the reason why he suffered a relapse.
Steven wanted to talk to Trevor first. He had to tell him the reason of his involvement with the sect and how much he wanted to abandon them but could not.
“Oh Trevor please wake up.” He prayed earnestly. “I’ll be in a big mess if you don’t.”

Sunday

The night passed without Trevor waking up. Steven was very anxious. He knew that if the situation continued then Trevor was soon going to coma.
For all Steven knew, Trevor might as well pass out in the unconsciousness.
In the morning of the next day, he made his first aim to find Nicky. It was a Sunday and he knew that it would not be hard to avoid Ingrid while he was looking for Nicky to discuss Trevor’s fate.
He asked someone to call her from the dormitory and waited for her under an oak tree in the school lawn.
Nicky appeared, leaving the Boarding flats in a purple night robe. Steven thought that she might have been sleeping or was just lazy to shower and change.
She also held a sulky look. When she paused few steps from him, “What?” Was her greeting.
“It’s Trevor.” He replied anxiously. “He’s fainted. It’s all your fault. He knows everything.”
She raised her eyebrows. “What?”
“Yes.”
She seemed upset. “How did he faint?” she asked and raised her voice. “You hit him?”
“No.” He denied in his own defense. “He was just angry at me and he collapsed.”
“Oh my God.” She said in a whisper. Steven had never thought that she could be worried or upset by anything in her life. She appeared too cruel. “Where is he now?” she asked.
“In the leader’s quarters.” He replied.
She frowned. “But, no one stays there anymore. How will you know if he needs help?” she complained, ditching him and walking away.
He followed her. “Where are you going?”
“To the damn leader’s quarters.”
He grasped her hand, pulling her back. “You can’t go anywhere like that and you’re not allowed to set foot anywhere near that area. You were deposed.”
She blinked rapidly at the confrontation and sighed. “But, how can you be so careless like that as to make him faint? Don’t you know that if he stays unconscious for more than twenty four hours, he could die?”
He did not seem too surprised. But, unlike some time back, Steven had no plan to kill Trevor. “He did wake up last time.” He argued.
Her face elated. “What woke him up then?”
He shook his head. “I don’t know but, Nicky, waking Trevor now will be too risky for me and you.”
She nodded somberly. “Yes of course. Who else knows about what happened?”
“None except some juniors who helped me carry him to the leader’s quarters.”
She was silent, looking down thoughtfully.
“Nicky. What are we going to do about this?”
She glanced at him. “Can you move him out of school?”
“Nicky. Trevor’s like the most renowned and popular person in school. If by tomorrow we are unable to present him, the whole school will know and we will get into deep trouble.”
“I understand that-”
“So what?” he cut her short.
“I have a plan and, we’ll need Morningstar.”
He furrowed his eyebrows. “What?”
“Think of anything to move Trevor out of the school compass.” She said, turning around to leave.
They trod on the open lane close to the girl’s dormitory.

At least 100 meters away, Erin stood at the edge of the balcony of the chief dormitory building. She was observing Nicky and Steven chat and make motions on the ground. She narrowed her eyes watching closely as the two parted.
“What are they up to?” she asked herself and turned from the balcony.
She came to Ingrid’s room and found her dressing in a blue gown.
“Erin?” she greeted first.
“Ingrid where’s your cousin?” Erin asked.
“Tell me first. Does the dress look great on me?” she asked turning sideways in front of the mirror. It was knee-length with white flower embroidery on the chest. “My aunt sent it to me. Hey, you should come to the church service as well. Cheryl said that, there is a lot to gain.”
Erin rounded her eyes. “Okay. Tell me, where’s Trevor?”
Ingrid turned to her. “He must be in the boys’ dorm, obviously.” She said and walked to the only bunk bed opposite the door. She bent down to her stuff on the lower bed.
“Okay. And Steven?”
Brooke Bond (East Africa)
Ingrid took out a pair of earrings. “Hey. You are being silly. They will be together or something.” She wore the ornaments. “Taddah!”
Erin grimaced.
“What? Do they look that ugly on me?”
“No, no. I just don’t understand your excitement.”
Ingrid turned to the bed and packed her stuff then picked her bag, turning to Erin. “First, my friend Natalie is coming back and next, what’s the reason of not being excited?”
“Breaking news. We’ll be doomed in a few days.” Erin replied sarcastically.
Ingrid walked forward to her and placed a hand over Erin’s shoulder. “We might as well pray about it.”
Erin lowered the hand. “You do that. I will do something else.”
Ingrid shrugged. “Later then.”
“Good bye.”

what happened next? what was Nicky's plan? what will Erin do? stay tuned and find out?
