“I’m sorry that our class is backing out from participating.”
He smiled on one side. “Why don’t you help me?”
“Ooh. How?”
He told her.

………………………………………………………………………..

On the day of the festivals, the school was live, decorated and loud. All girls wore extra makeup. The boys did some things with their hair and outfits. It was generally wow.
“The best of these festivals,” one student was telling his friend as they walked around campus. They paused in front of a booth. “Is the good food.” He went on. Their well-known cook fried meat in the booth. “And, far better than that is, it’s all free!”
“Nice.” The friend replied.
“Can we have some ribs Leon?”
“Sure.” The cook replied and served them their order.

Performances begun in the school theater. The most looked forward to was Class D and the seniors of the school. After a lot of dispute and throwing words at each other, they finally came to an agreement. The seniors apologized despite the damage that they already caused. Class D accepted that and they rehearsed to play The Frog Prince together.
The prince in the story was one Mark Taylor, Natalie played one of the ‘seven daughters’ with a little part in the whole play. Trevor played King Henry.
Ingrid and Erin sat at the audience cheering for Natalie. Ingrid tried her best to make Natalie laugh when it was her queue to say anything.
The five siblings sat on the lower front seats watching the play. Sue managed to get all his brothers to be present on that day. It happened that Hamerton was also celebrating its 30 years anniversary. And for Sue, that was a very special day.
“Do you know?” Edgar begun, sitting between her sister and Brian. “We’ll have another big event like this one.” he said raising his voice through the noise.
“Ooh which?” Chris asked seated next to him.
“The school graduation.” Edgar replied.
“To organize these festivals cost more than ten thousand euros.” Sue said. “I wonder just how much the graduation will cover.”
“I like everything about this year’s festivals.” Elvis said. He bent forward to look at Archibald who sat at the end of it. “Good work Archibald.”
Archibald gave a warm smile and replied, “Thank you.”
They turned to the stage to watch the ongoing play.
“Aren’t those class D students and… Trevor?” Edgar said narrowing his eyes.
“Yes.” Archibald assured. “Somehow, Trevor managed to reconnect his own class and the standard 11 pupils.”
“Wait…” Sue interrupted. “I know that girl. I’ve seen her somewhere.”
At the stage, Natalie was saying something to a tiny frog on a wooden stool. Their group decided to have a real frog than a man in costume for the part.
“Obviously.” Chris said. “You know her from the play.”
“I’m not jesting Chris. Cut that out.” Sue snapped.
“Ha ha ha. Okay, where have you seen her?”
“Natalie Bradley.” Sue reckoned. “I saw her on television.”
“I know… Hamerton TV hihihi.” Brian said joining Chris in his jokes.
Sue sighed.
“Go on Sue. Where did you see that girl Natalie?” Edgar asked to show her some support.
“I saw her on BBC. She was among the leading troupes of students who traveled with USAID to Africa in 2009.”
Chris grimaced. “How on earth did you cram her face?”
“I’m amazed that you even follow up on documentaries.” Brian added.
“How is she important now?” Archibald contributed.
“I admired her when I saw her, boys. So, I think that’s why I cram her face.” She turned to Archibald. “Archibald, she got that chance and that’s what make her important.”
“And?” Chris asked.
The curtains on the staged closed in conclusion of the play. The MC sounded calling madam Sue for a speech.

She rose. “I think we already have our next Hamerton students’ president.” She said and walked to the stage leaving the rest astonished.

stay tuned...
