“Hug your friend Natalie.” Mrs.
Bradley asked.
Natalie gave Caitlin a long
hug “I’ll miss you my friend.” She let her free
“You said that the name of
the school is?” Mrs. Bradley asked
“Hamerton high school in London”
Caitlin replied. She searched in her jeans pocket and took out a brochure that
she handed to Mrs. Bradley
“Don’t tell me that you’re
thinking of sending me there.” Natalie warned.
“Is it a bad thing to join
your friend?” Mrs. Bradley asked.
“Mother!” Natalie snapped and
then turned to Caitlin. “Let’s go Cait, I’ll walk you out.”
The three both walked to the
door, with Mrs. Bradley behind them. She hugged Caitlin but, Natalie insisted
on taking her friend home. Therefore the two left together to the house next
door and Natalie returned home leaving Caitlin there.
Natalie found her mother
still reading the brochure, standing at the door.
“Good school. I’ll tell your father
of it when he arrives home this evening.”
“Serious mom? You’re thinking
of sending me to England?”
“Not a bad thing is it? Close
the door and come help me in the kitchen.” She said and left leaving Natalie
stunt.
