HAMERTON Chapter 3-episode 10

HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.

Hamerton. A large school offering the finest Education to the students of the state and overseas. Natalie joins this school arriving from Brooklyn and she has grief over her lost friends who were murdered in Hamerton. She teams up with Ingrid and their fellow seniors against the House of Representatives to prevent a bomb blast that could cause a large massacre.

Hallo dear viewers.

Previously on Hamerton;Natalie is discharged from the clinic and shows her concern about Paula's health. The doctor tells her and St. Ann Marie girls who came to visit, that Paula is out of danger and that she will be transfered to a hospital in London. Cheryl convinces Natalie to address the Hamerton students about what happened between her and Paula.

Continue;

 Today

Natalie stood nervously at the door of Madam Sue’s office. The director called Natalie soon after she went on air with HTV, unfolding the events that happened in the conference hall with SOHOR and in the bathroom with Paula Moure.
Natalie took in a deep breath and knocked.
“Come in.” Madam sounded from inside the office and Natalie opened the door to enter.
She beheld the lady’s extravagant office, fancily furnished with mahogany. The floor was covered by a brown carpet, and there were expensive paintings on the wall
Madam Sue herself sat behind a desk, wearing a brown suit. She held a pen in her hand and fixed her gaze upon Natalie when she walked in. “How are you Natalie?”
“Doing better ma’am. Good morning?”
“Good morning. Please, have a seat.” The lady replied, waving to a pair of chairs in front of her desk.
Natalie walked forward and occupied one of the seats and then waited to hear what the madam had to say.
“Can you tell me what happened?” Madam Sue began the conversation with a question.
Natalie took in a deep breath and begun. “I was in the bathroom when Paula came to attack me. She had a pipe in her hand. She hit me twice with it. She was going to hit me again if I hadn’t defended myself.” She paused, to add with tears of regret tingling her eyes. “I had no intention of injuring her. I was hardly aware that she knocked herself to a sink. Ma’am, I didn't do anything on purpose. She was going to attack me.”
Madam Sue nodded, showing to accept her statement.
Natalie sighed with relief. “Thank you madam, thank you for believing me.”
“I do Natalie. When I first saw you, I liked you because, you reminded me of my younger self.” She said and suddenly sighed. “I could support you in the discipline meeting to keep you from expulsion but,” she paused.
Natalie furrowed her eyebrows. “But what ma’am?”
“You have to lose your seat.” The lady announced.
Natalie’s mouth dropped open with shock, gasping. “You mean… I,” she swallowed, “I can’t be President?”
Madam Sue nodded.
“But, why?” Natalie asked, frowning. “I didn't do anything. Paula hit me, she was going to kill me. Was I supposed to die?”
“Calm down Natalie.”
Natalie sighed. “I am sorry. I just, I just don’t understand why I have to lose my seat. I can be President. I have to be President.” She cried.
“Natalie it’s the French girls’ statement against yours and all of Hamerton knows that you were unsatisfied with the judgment that the SOHOR gave Paula. It is in the school paper.”
Natalie was silent. She now recalled her speech in the private meeting with the SOHOR. Sylvester. The name came to her mind. She believed that he was the one who leaked their agenda to the press to taint her governance. He was so upset when she broke the allegiance.
Madam Sue shook her head in dismay. “So, it is true.” She concluded.
“No ma’am. I can explain. I broke off with SOHOR for the better of Hamerton.”
“Natalie, that allegiance is 23 years old. Hamerton has benefited so much from it. Whatever your reasons, you had no right to break the engagement.”
“Madam Sue, you don’t understand.” She cried. “I didn't have any selfish reasons when I broke off with SOHOR.” She said, assuming that by ‘reasons’, the lady referred to Paula. “I know how well the allegiance has served Hamerton and how the school’s name has grown because of it. But, I thought that, Hamerton needs a new allegiance, which our school can be supreme leader. I already planned to make communications with schools in America,” she paused, trying to come up with convincing arguments. “New York!” She exclaimed. “Yes, everybody dreams of going to New York.”
“Natalie, didn't you think of adding your ‘New York’ schools to our mother allegiance?”
“No. I want that to be in a separate or rather new allegiance.”
Madam Sue shook her head, seemingly unconvinced. “Even so, Natalie. CCTV cameras caught you and another guy, kissing in the leaders’ quarters.”
Natalie frowned. “I haven’t been kissing anyone in the leaders’ quarters.”
“Trevor, perhaps?”
Natalie was silent, recalling the time when Trevor came to see her in the leaders’ quarters.
“Natalie. You are the top leader of Hamerton. You ought to know better than to give a bad example. You know the rules. The leaders’ quarters are the first place to be honored in all of Hamerton. I mean, you are not allowed to kiss anywhere but, since we can’t control students, at least, we want you to respect those quarters.”
Natalie looked down, feeling embarrassed.
“Natalie. I can’t fight for you any longer. Perhaps, you can run for President in the next elections. If the students still accept you, then, you can have your seat back.”
Natalie looked at her. “Madam, please?” she begged. She did not want to lose the badge. It was the only thing that could save Hamerton.
“No, Natalie. I am sorry.”
Natalie sighed, releasing tears.
“Give me your green card. You will give up your badge to Mr. Archibald in front of all Hamerton students when you to tell them why you are resigning.”
“Please?” Natalie asked again.
Madam Sue extended her hand in response.
Reluctantly, Natalie felt her coat pocket for her President’s mandate card. She gave it to the lady, sighing.
“I am so sorry Natalie.” The lady said sincerely. “But, take it from me that, if you resign, the students will find you accountable. They could elect you again as the next President.”
Natalie was silent.
“Thank you. You may leave now.” The lady said.
Natalie rose. “Thanks’ ma’am. You have done a lot for me.”
“I believe in you.”
Natalie smiled and walked out.
Outside the lady’s office, Natalie met Ivan and Ingrid anxiously waiting for her.
She broke into a cry and immediately fell in Ingrid’s arms. “It’s over Ingrid, we lost.” She sobbed.
Ingrid rubbed her friend’s back, widening her eyes in terror. She could not believe what Natalie just told her.

HAMERTON 2 Chapter 2- episode 2

Previously on Hamerton; Caitlin and her brother arrive from a country in Africa where they also scarcely met Mr. Bradley (Natalie's father). Mr. Brooks is concerned about his daughter's welfare after what happened in their life.
Natalie and Ingrid see Randolph Michael who after a lot of a opposition agrees to have taken the President's badge. He directs them to one Ralph Brooks who Natalie is sure to be Caitlin's brother.

Ingrid reveals to Natalie her relationship with Trevor.

Continue;

Natalie shut herself in her room that night, crying. She was very sensitive over Caitlin’s issue. She could not get over the news of Caitlin’s death before and now that there was a trace of seeing her again, Natalie was confused. She did not know what to think.
The hope of Caitlin being alive, revived in her heart. She saw Caitlin…. Caitlin came to Natalie's house a year past to warn her not to return to Hamerton.
Or was it a dream? She wondered.
She hardly thought of Ingrid’s confession about her relationship with Trevor. When she did, she shut her eyes trying to avoid gruesome thoughts. Trevor loved her and that’s the only thing that Natalie wanted to focus on at that moment.

She woke late the next morning and though it was a school day, she dragged herself to the bathroom. She returned to her room later and found it empty. Her roommate was gone.
She walked to the closet and dressed into her white shirt and black skirt. She stood in front of the mirror, tying her hair into a ponytail. She groomed it with her hands, thinking about Caitlin. The two used to play hair dress when they were kids and in few occasions, either of them went to school with their natural hair.
Now, glancing at the brown soft strands of hair on her head, Natalie missed Caitlin.
She shut her eyes, thinking that she could have her back again.
“I just wished that you didn't die.” She murmured.
A voice of a person clearing his throat at the doorway, interrupted her solace and she opened her eyes, spanning around quickly.
She froze, widening her eyes in surprise.
Trevor stood there, the real Trevor, in a silver hood sweater and black trousers, burying his hands in his pockets as he watched her with his tantalizing gaze. “Amh… sorry for interrupting your privacy.” He excused himself when she remained silent.
Without a word, she ran to him and threw her hands around him, almost bringing him down to the floor with her weight.
“Trevor.” She cried.
“Yes, yes. It’s me.” He struggled. “I’m gonna fall now.”
She drew back, holding his face and connected their lips, kissing him like nothing else mattered.
He kissed her back with equal passion, expressing how he wanted her so much.
When they parted, she had bit her lower lip and he was laughing.
“I don’t believe it.” She said. “It is you.”
He nodded. “That’s right. I promised that we will see each other again, didn't I?”
“I didn't expect that it would be this soon.” She said and smiled. “But, it’s great to have you back Trevor. I really missed you.”
“I missed you too.”
She caressed his face just to make sure that she was not dreaming and that he was really there then, she laughed a little.
“What?” He asked.
“I just don’t believe that you are here.”
He took her palm, drawing it from his cheek. “I am Natalie. But, I don’t have much time.”
She nodded in understanding. “That’s right. No school. I want to spend the day with you.”
“Natalie, no.” he disagreed.
She frowned. “Why?”
“I will see you later at two and we will visit Ralph Brooks’ house to see what happened to him and Caitlin.”
“Trevor. C’mon? I really miss you and I want us to catch up.”
“So do I but, I’ll need you here for the time being. If the SOHOT suspect that I’m back in Hamerton,” he begun before she interrupted him.
“But, they won’t.” she said.
“They will if you are out of campus for a whole day.”
She sighed. “When is this going to end?”
“Soon.” He said and took both of her hands. “Natalie, I want you to be strong for me. Please don’t lose faith.”
She looked down for a moment, showing hesitation then raised her glance to him, smiling a little. “Alright.” She said and asked. “Who told you about Caitlin’s brother?”
“Ingrid.” He replied. “She told me that and that she spoke to you about us. She also mentioned that, you are feeling down and asked me to come and see you.”
Natalie was silent.
“Natalie, I am sorry that I never told you what existed between me and Ingrid. It was a crazy thing. We both agreed to part ways. I with you and her with Steven.”
She took a moment digesting the irritating facts then asked. “No more secrets?”
He shook his head. “No more secrets.”
She grinned and hugged him again. “How did you get up here? This is the leaders’ quarters.”
“I still have my contacts.” He explained as she drew back.
“Will you wait for me so that we can both leave? At least, I see you off.”
“Okay. What do you need?” he asked looking around the room.
She left him to a coat hanger beside the mirror and took her coat. “This and my,” she walked to the only bunk-bed in the room and stretched herself to the upper bed to take her bag. “Bag and books.”
“Shoes?” he asked when she dropped her stuff on the lower bed.
“Yes.” She agreed and knelt on the floor, bending her back to reach her shoes from under the bed.
He walked to her at the bed and took her bag, packing her books as she wore her shoes.
“Why is there a feud between your brother and Ingrid?” she asked, tying her shoe laces.
“Oh. Of course, you met Randolph. Well, he has a feud with everyone.”
“But, he seemed like a nice boy.”
“Until he notices that you are going out with me.”
“He loves you that much to get jealous?”
“Love? Randolph? No. But, jealousy, I wouldn't say for sure. He is spoilt because he is the youngest and the only one with a mother in our dad’s house.”
“But, you have a mom.”
He paused packing her books. “She is sick. In a mental hospital.”
“I am aware of that. She is going to be fine someday, Trevor.”
He zipped her bag. “I pray so every day.”
She took her bag from him. “Thank you.”
“Are you ready?” He asked.
“Yes.”
“Let’s go.” He asked and took her hand, walking out with her.
“So, where do we meet later?” She asked.
“I’ll pick you up the school gate. We’ll follow Ralph’s bus to where it drops him.”

“Okay.” She agreed and took in a deep breath thinking. I hope that I see you again Caitlin.

HAMERTON 2 CAITLIN IS ALIVE

Previously on Hamerton. Natalie softens up with Ingrid and Ingrid shares with her a short history about Trevor. Ingrid wants to tell Natalie something but, Natalie wants them to focus on the missing badge. They are eventually led to believe that Randolph Michael, (Trevor's brother) took it from Natalie's office when he came to give Natalie Trevor's message.
Mr. Tommy mentioned that Caitlin is alive.

Continue;

Chapter Two: Caitlin is alive
Mr. Brooks stood at the edge of a balcony of his bedroom looking down to his mansion’s front yard. Leaning on the balcony rail and holding a Clearly Canadian of Green Apple, he enjoyed the view of his house.
There was a fountain of a fish statue, surrounded by a small rose garden. A pavement way led from the main gate to the building portico, bordered by flower hedge of Ontario wildflowers.
He sipped from his drink again and checked his watch.

1:00pm

The clock read.
He gazed at the main entrance and saw the gate open. A dark saloon Mercedes drove in and the black gate closed behind it.
Mr. Brooks retired from the balcony and walked down the stairs of his extravagant mansion, to greet his guests.
He arrived the lobby which was huge with marble floor and a dorm shaped roof. A crystal chandelier hanged from the roof, giving the hall a wonderful spectacle.
The doors opened and Mr. Brooks’ daughter walked in, holding her brothers’ hand.
Caitlin was very much alive and healthy. She was averagely tall with her shoulder-length blond hair dangling over her back. She wore a light blue knee-length dress with shining embroidery on the chest. Her feet were clad in white stilettos matching with her cream colored shoulder bag.
Ralph himself wore a black shirt and black trousers. As his clothes were, so was his face for a long time; gloomy and sullen.
“Hello dad?” Caitlin greeted giving him an air kiss.
“Hallo dear.” Mr. Brooks replied and rubbed Ralph’s hair. “Son.”
“Hi dad.” Ralph replied taking his dad’s hand down.
“So, how was your trip?” Dad asked, looking at Caitlin.
“Fine.” Caitlin responded shortly.
“Did you get any inspiration?” dad asked.
“Yes.” Caitlin replied, walking into their sleekly furnished living room. “I would like to visit Africa another time. You should see their culture dad. They live very differently from us.”
“Oh, I have been there. That is why I also wanted you to go.” Dad said walking to a drink cabinet in the living room bar counter.
Caitlin sat on a sofa. “I made many friends. Ralph did so too.” She sighed with exhaustion. “We brought a lot of souvenirs. We’ll open our bags later.”
Ralph sat on an opposite seat and begun taking off his boots. “Dad. While we were at the camp site, we met Mr. Bradley. Isn't he Natalie’s dad?”
Dad came back with two juice glasses. “Yes son. He works for our company, Brooks Mining. He is the chief engineer of the project. Did he recognize you?”
“We hardly met.” Caitlin explained. “He only received us and later, another person escorted us to our stay.”
Dad sat opposite them. “Didn't you want to ask him about Natalie?” He asked his daughter.
“I didn't get the chance father. But, you know that, I can’t reach her until she is out of that place.”
“Of course.” Dad said in understanding.
Caitlin took a large puff from her drink and relinquished her glass on a silver coffee table in front of her. “Dad, I’m very tired. Can I go to rest?”
“Okay.” Mr. Brooks agreed and she rose, leaving the room.
He turned to his son and watched him as Ralph took out a phone from his pocket and begun tapping it.
“Ralph?”
Ralph turned to him. “Yes father?”
“How’s your sister? Do you think that she is better now?”
Ralph glanced away in thought then back at his father. “I think so dad.”
Dad offered a short grin. There was still some longing in his heart to get their children back. He wanted to get them over the trauma of losing their mother and the distress that they both went through in Hamerton.
Ralph noticed that and said. “Don’t worry dad. She will be okay.”
Dad smiled, nodding as Ralph rose to leave as well.
He hoped that his son was right.

Meanwhile 3,451 mi away, Ingrid and Natalie stood in the playground of the primary section, waiting for Randolph Michael or the boy that they sent to look for him.
It was late around six pm, and the primary scholars filled their canteens and dining halls for supper before prep.
“I’m so anxious right now.” Natalie confessed to Ingrid, rubbing her palms together in the cold evening.
“For what?”
“Losing that badge. What if Randolph didn't take it?”
“I’m telling you. He did. He is the only one who went to your office and the only one who could have taken it.”
Natalie was silent.
“There, look.” Ingrid said, looking toward an approaching boy.
Natalie turned to the direction and waited until Randolph drew near.
“Hallow.” He greeted Natalie and turned to Ingrid. “Ingrid. You’re alive!”
Natalie glanced at Ingrid with a shocked expression on her face.
Ingrid scowled at him. “Yes. Though you and your mom wished that I wasn't.”
Ralph tried to look defensive. “I had nothing to do with anything that my mother did to you.” he narrowed his eyes, questioning her. “Wait… who is paying for your studies here?”
“It’s not your concern young man!” Ingrid rasped, grabbing Ralph’s hand.
Natalie intervened. “Okay okay. Guys. Please? I do not want to interfere with your family issues but, Ingrid? Can we get what we came here for?”
Ingrid sighed, still having his eye on Ralph.
Ralph jerked his hand free. “What do you need?”
“Her badge. Where is it?” Ingrid growled.
“Ingrid. Please?” Natalie asked. “He is a child.”
“I am not a child!” Ralph retorted.
Natalie turned to him and held his shoulders, crouching to reach his height. “Randolph. Did you take anything from my office while you came to give me Trevor’s message?”
Ralph was silent.
“Tell her Randolph. Don’t be so difficult right now.” Ingrid snapped.
“No!” he said angrily, looking at Ingrid.
Natalie turned to Ingrid. “Ingrid. Please?”
Ingrid shook her head and turned around, giving them her back.
Natalie sighed and faced Ralph again. “Please? Tell me if you took my badge from the drawer in the office. I will give you… candy!”
He shook his head. “I could have a container full of candy if I wanted to.”
Natalie grimaced. “What?”
He stared at her bluntly.
“Okay. How about… I am the school President. I can get your class teacher to give you a short holiday with your friends.” She said and added. “Without being suspended.”
He shook his head. “I have exams by the end of the week. I have to study.”
Natalie sighed. “Aah? What do you want then?”
Ralph twisted his head to face Ingrid who was already watching them. “I want her to say what she has to say.”
Ingrid frowned. “Never!”
Natalie stretched herself. “Ingrid. Please? We need that badge.”
Ingrid shook her head with disappointment and sighed.
“Say it.” Ralph urged her.
“There is nothing between me and Trevor.” She said quickly and paused when Natalie look amazed at her. “And...” she swallowed and added. “I don’t love him.”
Before Natalie had the chance to ask, Ralph said. “I took the badge.”
Natalie turned to him. “Where is it?”
“With my friend but, he is a day scholar.”
“Can we get it tomorrow when he comes to school?” Ingrid asked.
“I hope so.” He replied.
“What’s his name?” Natalie inquired.
“Ralph.”
“Is that a joke Randolph?” Ingrid asked, getting mad at him.
“No. His name is Ralph Brooks. He is a day scholar.”
Natalie dropped her mouth in shock. “What did you say?” she asked.
Randolph turned to her. “Ralph Brooks. Okay. Good bye guys.” He said and started out, leaving.
“Let’s go. We’ll get the boy tomorrow. And about what I said to Ralph… it’s what I have been trying to tell you over a long time. I wanted to be honest with you Natalie but, you never gave me the chance.”
Natalie was still over the name that Randolph mentioned. Ralph Brooks. Caitlin Brooks’ brother. That meant a lot to Natalie. She took in a deep breath to swallow everything and faced Ingrid, staring silently at her.
“Natalie?” she called.

Natalie stretched her hands in the air and turned around, walking out on Ingrid.

HAMERTON 2 - Chapter 1 - episode 7

Previously on Hamerton; Natalie receives a visit from Trevor's younger brother who gives her message that Trevor wants to see her. Simon is kidnapped and questioned by a lady about Natalie's life.
Ingrid shot Nicky, causing her death.

Continue;

Natalie and Ingrid stood anxiously within Hamerton Recreation Park.
There were many families scattered, having a picnic or the parents watching their kids as they played on swings. There were also teenagers and grown-ups sitting in couples, having their romance or just chatting.
Natalie rubbed her hands in anxiety. She was going to see Trevor. Now, after such a long time. At that moment, it did not matter that he kept silent and forgotten about him, she only wanted to see him.
Ingrid looked around standing next to her. “I don’t even remember the last time I was out of the Hamerton four walls.”
“Really?” Natalie asked. “But, you did leave in the last holidays.”
“Yes but, I went straight to Heathrow and not to the neighboring streets.”
“Oh. That explains things.”
“And you? Have you ever been here?”
“No.”
“How did you know of it?”
“Google.”
Ingrid laughed and remained smiling.
By chance Natalie glanced behind her and caught sight of Trevor.
He was approaching them in a dark attire and covering his eyes with sunglasses.
Natalie’s mouth parted in shock of seeing him again. Ingrid noticed that and spanned around too.
“That’s him.” Natalie whispered.
Ingrid furrowed her eyebrows, scrutinizing the incomer. “No. You really haven’t seen him for a long.”
Natalie frowned and turned to Ingrid. “I’m saying that’s him.”
“No, Natalie. I’m telling you.”
“So, who do you propose that he is? And check, he is coming this way.”
“Good that’s how I am going to prove you wrong that, that’s not Trevor.” Ingrid said and turned back to the nearing young man. “If I’m not mistaken that guy is Henry Reeds. He is one of Trevor’s bodyguards. Mr. Tommy made some children grow up with his son and imitate his dressing, talking, walking, you name it, so that they can be Trevor’s decoys. This he did to trick those who wanted to harm Trevor.” Ingrid said and continued thoughtfully. “To use one of them now must means that Trevor is really in danger.”
Natalie looked at her, remaining speechless. She was baffled by Ingrid’s statement.
There was a helicopter flying close to the park. The girls could hear it at the back of their ears.
The guy drew nigh and lowered his glasses. Natalie confirmed then that, it was not Trevor, her Trevor. But, the resemblance was so incredible that she wondered if Trevor’s dad also had a plastic surgery on him. She hoped that it was not a violent surgery either.
“Miss Ingrid, Miss Natalie. Good day.” He greeted humbly.
“Henry.” Ingrid said first before Natalie had the chance to respond. “Anything wrong? Where is Trevor?”
“He is around here, Miss Ingrid. But, I had to go ahead of him to give you his message.” He replied.
“He is around?” Natalie asked. That was where her mind was. “Where? Can I see him?”
The boy turned to her. “No but, maybe he can hear you.”
Ingrid intervened. “I don’t understand. Why can’t we even talk to him? He sent us a message to meet him here.”
“Yes.” He agreed. “But, I tell you honestly, Miss Ingrid that, as much as Trevor wants to, he can’t see either of you at the moment. His father doesn't know that he is out of his protection center and Sir Corny Howls cannot jeopardize Trevor’s security.”
“He is seeing us, me and Ingrid. We are not harmful to Trevor!” Natalie almost cried.
“Tell Corny that he has already jeopardized Trevor’s security by bringing him out here and the least that he could now is to allow us to see him.” Ingrid said angrily.
Henry opened his mouth to say something before pressing his ear. Shortly, as the girls watched, he took out a handset from his trousers and waved it to Natalie. “For you.”
Natalie hesitated for a moment and took it. “Hallow?” she called.
“Natalie.” Trevor’s voice came making her skip a heartbeat.
She turned aside, breaking into a cry. “Trevor.”
Trevor came again, sounding equally wretched to be far from her. “Natalie I love you.”
“I love you back Trevor.” She said, crying. “Where are you, I want to see you, please?” she asked.
He was crying too. “You don’t know how much I would give to see you again. To be near you, to hold you,” he sighed. “But, I can’t.”
“Why? You can, nothing bad is going to happen to you.”
“Natalie…” he was crying. “Listen to me very carefully.”
“Trevor. Please? I want to see you. Please? I can’t live without you. My life is meaningless without me being near you.”
“So is mine, Natalie. You don’t know how many sleepless nights I've had since I had to part with you. Natalie I want you to know that I've never intentionally neglected you. I always had you in my mind and I've never thought of being with any other person than you. You are everything in my life. Everything.”
His words touched her heart making her yearn for him.
She found herself kneeling on the ground because her legs lost strength of standing.
“Natalie. My father doesn't want me anywhere near Hamerton or you. But, you are in danger now and I had to force my way to come here.”
She drew a deep sigh. “What’s going on with Hamerton?”
“The sect that was going to destroy the school which we all thought was uncovered, is still pushing through with their operation. They are connected to the House of Representatives that annually visits Hamerton. They will oversee the welfare of their plans to destroy the school and if nobody does anything, the distraction of Hamerton and the rest of you in it will be inevitable.”
Natalie gulped. “House of Representatives. How are they involved?”
“They are the main people here. Not Archibald as we thought.”
She took a few minutes to digest the enlightening. She asked afterward. “So, what are we going to do?”
“Henry will give you the missing piece of the badge. Do you have the badge with you now?”
Natalie felt her coat pocket. “I do have this replacement. The original one is in my office back in school.”
“Okay. Fill the gap in the badge. I will give you instructions on how to work it the next time we see each other.”
“Will I really see you, Trevor?”
“We will see each other, I promise you that.”
“Trevor, I really miss you.” She cried.
“I am dying to be with you too. Look up.”
She raised her head and had to blink frequently to overcome the great air currents that the helicopter above the park gave.
She could see a few men inside the craft. One of them sat at the edge and looked down to her.
She broke into a joyful laughter. “I think I see you.”
“It has to be this way for a while.” He said and paused.
“I’ll wait.” She said.
“Natalie. You have to remember this.” He said. The tone of his voice came a bit more serious. “Nicky used to be the head of SOHOT, the sect that was and still is running at your school. Whoever killed her, took her place in the rank.”
Natalie froze. She could not comprehend the revelation. What???
He came again. “That is how it works in SOHOT. Whoever kills the boss succeeds his office. In this case, her office. Please, beware that, your enemy and the rest of Hamerton’s is still out there.”
Natalie gulped. She was only a stone-throw from her!
But, it can’t be.
“Natalie?” Trevor called.
Natalie took in a deep breath. “Okay.” She said simply. She did not know what to add. She lost all words.
“Remember that I love you and that I think of you every single day.”
“I love you.” she replied.
The helicopter sounded, drawing away from the spot.
“Gotta go.” He said.
“Bye.” She bid and he hang up.
She remained there for some seconds, not knowing what step to take next. Trevor’s revelation on the operation of SOHOT was overwhelming to her.
Henry and Ingrid walked to her and Ingrid held her, helping her up.
“Ready?” Henry asked.
“Yes.” Natalie replied.
“What did he say?” Ingrid asked.
Natalie eyed her and said. “He only wanted us to be careful with the sect. He also misses me a lot.”
Ingrid smiled.
Henry took out a small metal case from his coat pocket and gave it to Natalie. “Inside this, is the missing piece in your badge.”
Natalie took it. “Thank you.”
“Okay. You will insert it in the gap in the back of the badge and further instructions will be handed to you later.”
Natalie nodded. “He told me that.”
“Thank you Henry. Please say hi to him for me, will you please?” Ingrid asked.
“Your phone.” Natalie said, interrupting Ingrid.
“Keep it. He could still use it to communicate with you.” Henry said and turned to Ingrid. “I will. My kind regards to you too.”
“Thank you.” Natalie said for all.
He turned around, leaving and Ingrid faced Natalie. “What did he say? Was he sorry for leaving you?”
“Let’s go Ingrid.” She said hoarsely and started out of the compound on her own.

Ingrid followed her, stunt.

Hamerton 2- Chapter 1- episode 3

Previously on Hamerton 2; Ivan sees Natalie to talk to her about forgetting Trevor but, she is reluctant, claiming that she can not let him go. Kenneth sees Trevor and informs him about SOHOT and their plans to blow up the school.

Continue;

Natalie sat across a dining table with Ingrid telling her about Ivan’s visit in her office and what he told her.
“What do you think Ingrid?” she asked afterward.
“I think that Ivan is partially right.”
“What?” Natalie retorted. “Why?”
“Because, though I think that Trevor has not actually deserted you, his abandoning you has no explanation.” She replied. “Natalie. Maybe it’s time for you to move on. Leave the past behind and carry on.”
“How?” Natalie carelessly asked.
“Go out with somebody. With Ivan for example.”
Natalie grimaced. “He was my best friend’s guy.”
“Your best friend is dead, Natalie. It has passed three years now and maybe up there, she doesn't want you to be lonely.”
Natalie looked down. She remembered Caitlin.
“Oh, Natty. If you must, follow your heart.”
“It belongs to Trevor. I can’t take him out. I have hope that he will look for me.”
“I hope that he does that because you my friend, is wasting away.”
Natalie was silent for a moment then asked. “Don’t you miss Steven? I mean, he was a bad guy but, you loved him nonetheless.”
“Maybe a little. But, I give myself a chance.”
Natalie giggled at this and Ingrid frowned.
“What?” Ingrid queered.
“I just remembered that over the past eight months, none of your relationships have worked.”
Ingrid shrugged at that. “I don’t know.” She paused to add emotionally. “Maybe I do have a missing piece in my heart as well.”
Natalie took her drink from the table and puffed. “C’mon? Let us not talk about gloomy stuff and discuss the affairs of your Ministry.”
Ingrid frowned. “Seriously Natalie? That’s gloomy than ever.”
“So what should we talk about?” Natalie asked, laughing.
“Boys.”
“Ingrid!” She snapped.
“See, see. That one over there.” Ingrid said pointing to a half-caste boy about 18. He was sitting in a third table from the girls. “And I bet that he has a crash on you.”

In a similar situation, Trevor sat behind a round table having his early dinner in the University cafeteria.
He had picked an outdoor table and sat on a wooden bench below a sycamore that was also embroidered with colorful lights.
The wind blew gently. He felt it around his nape.
There were other tables some meters from him and Kehlan sat on one of them with some girlfriends. When she saw him, she waved at him and he waved back.
“Shall I come?” she called.
He opened his mouth to reply before somebody called his name, approaching his table from the cafeteria exit.
“Hallow Trevor Tommy?”
Trevor smiled at the greeting of a very familiar lady.
She was averagely short and chubby with distinct red hair. She wore a blue-sweater and knee-length silver pants that glittered in the moonlight.
She walked to Trevor’s table and relinquished her plate on it.
“Hi Maggie.” Trevor greeted back.
“Is this seat occupied?”
“Maybe in a few seconds, yes.”
She offered her breathtaking smile and sat opposite him. “So, what’s up?”
Trevor forked noodles on his plate. “Nothing much.”
“Oh, you are not telling me about your girlfriend?”
Trevor broke into a laugh. “So, I see that news travel fast around campus.”
“Maybe. She tells everybody that you two are dating.”
“We only had breakfast together this morning. That doesn't mean anything.”
Maggie sipped her smoothie. “Mmh, really?”
He laughed again. “Maggie c’mon?”
“Alright.” She said and put her juice box on the table. “So, tell me what’s really up.”
He gave up an insincere grin and sighed. “Just down.”
She eyed him for a few seconds. She was concerned about him.
She slipped her hand in her pants’ pocket and took out a small handset. She tapped it twice and announced. “There, the microphone is off. No one can hear us now.” She paused to add again. “And I promise that I won’t tell Howls anything.”
He smiled. “Thank you Maggie. I actually need your support in this.”
“Yes?” she asked.
“Natalie’s life is in danger and I don’t know how to help her if my father keeps an eye on my every movement.” He paused, sighing. “I love her Maggie and I miss her so much. I couldn't stand if anything bad happened to her.”
“Aaw. I feel sorry for you. I couldn't imagine being separated from Howls either.”
“See? But, dad would not understand me. And it’s not only about me getting in touch with Natalie. It’s also about saving Hamerton. Kenneth came to see me today and told me that nothing was solved then. The sect’s evil plan will still push through and Natalie doesn't know about it.”
Maggie sighed feeling pity for him. “I must confess that your dad is only worried about you and his methods of protecting you are a bit extreme but, that’s how much he loves you. He is afraid of losing you. You gave us all a fright the last time and Mr. Tommy rather blames it on Hamerton.”
“Maggie please? I promise that I’ll be careful. I am using my medication. I’ll, I’ll avoid getting agitated. I’ll just see Natalie and tell her what’s going on. Please?”
Maggie thought. “Tell me how I can help.”
“Thank you!” Trevor said, sighing with relief and fetching her hands on the table. “Kenneth promised to elude father that we are together as I go to Hamerton to talk to Natalie. I’ll only need you to talk to your husband.”
She raised her eyebrows. “What will I tell Howls? He’s in charge of taking care of you, he is going to panic if he hears that you are going back to Hamerton.”
“Maggie please? It’s only going to be for a couple of days. If you know the meaning of love and losing the one that means everything to you, then you will help me.”
She looked sullen for a while. “I don’t know how I will talk to Howls about this matter. He might never understand me.”
He squeezed her hands in his. “Please Maggie? He is your husband. You can try.”
“Okay.” She agreed and he kissed her fingers.
“Oh Maggie, thank you, thank you, thank you.”
“Stop it. We are not sure that he will listen to me anyway.”
“He will. I am sure of that.”
She took her hands and picked up her fork. “Okay. Tell me more about your girlfriend… Natalie.”
Trevor smiled. “Well. She is smart. She has a cute face. She has bright blue sparkling eyes…” he begun and went on dreamily.
He pictured her close to him. Sitting next to him at the table, having her hands around his neck and probably both of them, telling their life to Maggie.
Natalie was ever so kind and loving. She had the purest of love for him. She gave up herself to him and he could not stop worrying about what she was thinking of him. He left her without a trace of where he was or what he was doing.
“Truly dad restrained me but, I haven’t made any effort on my part to reach her.” He told Maggie. “That’s why I want to make it right. I want to say I’m sorry and I want to explain to her everything.”
Maggie nodded. She was also done with her supper. “I understand you, Trevor. And, I pray that you mend things with her.”
He smiled with gladness. “Thank you Maggie. You really are a sweet woman.”
She chuckled a little and rose. “Okay. May I leave you now?”
“It’s alright Maggie.”
“Goodbye. I’ll text you when I’m done with Howls. Oh.” She said and turned to the handset on the table. “On in three, two, one.”
Trevor laughed. “He did that?”
Maggie laughed too. “Aah that guy of mine. Such a pest. Okay, Trevor bye.”
She said before Corny’s voice came in both their receivers. “I heard that Maggie.”
“Oh shut up…” she replied teasingly, leaving the table.
