HAMERTON Chapter 14 - episode 18

             HAMERTON

Hallow new readers & Happy Sunday to you all!
This is a story about Hamerton, a large school that has a lot of things going on, most of them being illegal and terrorizing. Natalie Bradley, an intelligent and talented girl from Brooklyn joins this school after her friend Caitlin who was allegedly murdered in Hamerton. She is agonized by the news of her friend's tragic death and she has to face up with Hamerton's bloody governance in order to secure the President's badge that has the power to decode a bomb that could cause a large massacre, soon.
She teams up with Trevor Tommy, the ex and most renowned president of Hamerton, Ingrid, and other Class D students against Nicky and her fellow evil seniors.

Previously on Hamerton; Cheryl and Fred agree with their friends to interrogate Michael Morningstar in the hospital about what happened to him, so that they can clear Trevor from the rumors spread against him. On arriving the hospital, they, along with the hospital medical practitioners, discover Erin and Michael shot in Michael's ward.

What happened afterward?

There was the girl’s body, lying with her head against the boy. From the way she was sitting on a chair next to the bed, it seemed like she had been talking to the patient before they were both killed.
Erin had a bullet hole in her cranium while Michael had a wound on his chest.
There was a gun found in the ward room that had Erin’s finger prints all over it. She must have intended to kill Michael but, why? Or, maybe she killed Michael but, not possibly kill herself afterward. She could not have aimed the gun at the back of her own head.
So, who shot her and who shot Michael Morningstar?
There was no sign of a break-in, the ventilator passages were also sealed. So, what happened?
The nurses? The doctor? They both have perfect alibis. The nurses were at the reception and the doctor was in his office when the shooting took place.
So, who did it?
Corny narrowed his eyes. It all came down to one person-
Crr crr crr
The land line phone rang.
He dismissed his thoughts and received it. “She’s here isn't she?”
“No sir. It’s Mr. Tommy. He’s on the line.”
Corny took a moment in silence, resolving what to do. He could not possibly back out from talking to Trevor’s dad.
His son was missing. Mr. Tommy must have already found that out by then. Plus the murders. And that, Corny was on the case.
“Officer?” Millies called.
“Connect him please.” Corny said.
“Okay.” Millies said before a long beep.
Corny took in a deep breath. He needed it.
“Corny Howls.” Mr. Tommy’s voice came hoarsely.
“Sir.” Corny replied and cleared his throat.
“Where is my son?”
Corny swallowed. “Mr. Tommy, I am very sorry to say that we still haven’t determined the exact location of Trevor but, I've got all my men working on his case. I assure you that we will find him soon.”
“Listen to me Corny Howls. If anything, anything at all happens to my boy, I will deal with you.”
“Mr. Tommy, I guarantee that Trevor will be found.”
Mr. Tommy grunted. “Do you already know what happened to him?”
“Yes. He was kidnapped by one of his schoolmates. I already have a lead so, be sure to hear from him soon.”
“Don’t give me that.” Mr. Tommy retorted. “Give me my son back. I don’t care what you have to do. Find my son!” he bawled and left the connection.
Corny sighed afterward, rubbing his forehead while still holding the receiver.
“Sir?” Millies came softly.
“Was it a secured connection, Millies?” Corny asked.
“Yes.”
“Okay. Find Natalie Bradley ASAP.”
“Yes sir.”
“And before you go, remember to keep this operation of finding Trevor highly classified. I don’t want the other police force suspecting anything. Inform Borris and the others. I think that they don’t know that Trevor Tommy’s missing.”
“Yes.”
“Good.” He said and hang up.
