HAMERTON Chapter 3-episode 8

HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.
Hallo new viewers!

Hamerton. A large school offering the finest Education to the students of the state and overseas. Natalie joins this school arriving from Brooklyn and she has grief over her lost friends who were murdered in Hamerton. She teams up with Ingrid and their fellow seniors against the House of Representatives to prevent a bomb blast that could cause a large massacre.

Previously on Hamerton; Natalie confronts Paula in the bathroom and their rough encounter leads to collateral damage. Mrs. Bradley is through with interrogation with the police, due to the death of Simon and she feels bad because Natalie kept her in the dark concerning her experience with Simon.

Ingrid sat on a waiting bench with Cheryl and Fred, the next morning at 6am. They waited anxiously for Natalie to be discharged and hear news about Paula.
They were both admitted in the school clinic and Natalie had minor injuries compared to Paula.
Ingrid rose when she saw Natalie appearing from the corridor leading to the waiting room.
Natalie limped on one foot and groped on the wall for support. Before Ingrid walked forward, nurse May, who was at the receptionist’s desk, dashed to Natalie to receive her.
“Are you doing alright?” The nurse asked.
“I will be fine.” Natalie replied shortly. She could not get over what she may have done to Paula.
“Natalie.” Ingrid called, approaching them.
The nurse parted from them and Ingrid hugged her friend. “I was so worried.”
Natalie hugged Ingrid back, strongly. She needed the support of a friend so much.
Ingrid drew back and checked her friend. “How are you doing? Are you doing alright? Do you need anything?”
“Yes.” Natalie replied. “I want to know if Paula’s alive.”
Ingrid frowned. “What? After what she did to you?”
“Ingrid, nothing is deserving the loss of someone’s life. Please, tell me how Paula is.”
“Natalie?”
Natalie looked behind Ingrid and noticed Cheryl and her camera man for the first time. She smiled at them. “Hi.”
“Sorry for what happened to you.” Cheryl added on behalf of her and Fred.
“Thank you Cheryl. Now, can anyone tell me what happened to Paula?” She asked before a new group of the St. Ann Marie students entered the clinic from the open swing doors in front of them.
Lucie, who also escaped prison, led the group and frowned when she saw Natalie. “You! You are a murder! How could you do that to my friend?” she growled.
Natalie gulped. Paula died?? She took in a deep breath and told Lucie. “I had no intention of killing your friend. She came to the bathroom to attack me.” She defended herself.
Lucy’s face folded with rage. “You are a liar!” she shouted.
“Okay. Stop it! All of you.” Nurse May ordered, standing behind the reception desk. “Nobody’s dead, alright?”
Natalie sighed with relief.
“But, still. She deserves to be jailed for trying to kill her.” Lucie insisted.
Ingrid stepped in front of Natalie, getting mad at Lucie. “Don’t you even feel ashamed of yourself when you say that? Everybody knows how you and Paula, murdered Natalie’s friend in Berlin during the international competitions. Natalie wasn't bold enough to be witness to the hearing against you but, if it wasn't for that, you two would be rotting in prison for what you did.”
Lucie was silent, biting her lower lip in anger.
Just then Dr. Gamaliel arrived the waiting room from the corridor and greeted with amazement, the fisty atmosphere.
Natalie turned to him. “Doctor, how is Paula doing?”
“So, now you are acting like you care.” Lucie reckoned rudely.
The doctor glanced at Lucie and looked back at Natalie. “She is out of danger.” He begun and Natalie sighed with relief. “For now.” He added, breaking Natalie’s spirit.
“What is going to happen to her doctor? She hit her head pretty bad.” Lucie asked.
The doctor turned to her. “She has to be transferred to a referral hospital in London. I will talk to Madam Sue now.”
“Amh, can we get coverage on what happened, doctor?” Cheryl asked, as Fred raised the camera he had, recording the doctor.
The doctor took a moment to decide then replied. “Okay. Wait here till I get back from the director’s office.”
“Can we see her?” Lucie asked on behalf of her friends who escorted her.
“Yes of course but, one by one.” He agreed and turned to the nurse. “Nurse May, please escort her to emergency ward.
“Yes doctor.” The nurse said and requested the French girls to follow her.
The doctor left and Cheryl and her camera man turned to Natalie.
“Natalie, can we interview you?” Cheryl asked.
“I am so tired Cheryl.” Natalie whined. She was in no mood of publicity.
“But, Natalie? You are the President and a lot has been going on around campus since yesterday. Everybody thinks that you tried to get back at Paula for the murder of your friend by killing her.” Cheryl informed.
Natalie’s mouth dropped open with shock. “But, I never meant to harm her. She hit me with a heavy pipe. She was going to render me cripple if I hadn't tried anything. I don’t know what else I could have done to defend myself.”
“So, you pushed her to the sink.” Cheryl concluded.
Natalie frowned. “No! How can you say that? I didn't push her.” She cried feeling indignant. “I tried to keep her from hitting me. She hit her head on the sink. That’s what happened.”

Fred directed the camera toward Natalie. “That’s what Hamerton needs to know.”

HAMERTON Chapter 3 episode 7

Previously on Hamerton; Trevor engages with Kehlan who informs him about a break-in in her room and how she was threatened to give information about him. They also share about their love lives and in the end, Trevor is worried about Natalie because of the SOHOT.

Continue;

10:00PM in Hamerton
Natalie washed her face on the bathroom sink, ready to go to rest. After the meeting with SOHOR and the threats of that strange girl, Natalie felt quite uneasy. She had a feeling at the back of her heart that, she did a wrong thing by breaking off with SOHOR. Though she tried not to, Natalie was very afraid of the girl.
She looked at herself on the mirror and sighed. Her thoughts traveled beyond her reflection. She prayed so much for the day to come so that the SOHOR could leave and she could start organizing about getting Hamerton a new allegiance.
She was very anxious about what Hamerton was talking about. She did not know whether word got out that she broke the allegiance or not. She was completely unaware about what the students were talking about.
She closed the tap and turned to the entrance. She gasped at the sight of Paula at the threshold of the door.
Paula was in her night robe and she held a long pipe in her hand. “You.” she growled at Natalie.
Natalie steeled herself to confront her. “Paula. What are you doing here and why are you holding that pipe?”
“I came to finish what I started before. I hate you Bradley!” she shouted.
Natalie frowned. “You are a murderer Paula. You have no heart. How do you even sleep with yourself?”
“That is none of your business!” Paula retorted aloud.
“You can’t hurt me Paula. There are secret cameras everywhere.” Natalie posed, trying to discourage her.
“So I heard.” Paula said, “But, not in the bathrooms.” She said and gritted her teeth, marching forward. She hit Natalie on the stomach with the pipe.
“Aah.” Natalie groaned in agony, holding her belly and dropping on the floor.
Paula opened the sink taps so as to bury the noise in the room with the water splash.
Natalie lost her correct sight, she felt as if the world was spinning around. The pain was too intense.
Without mercy, Paula hit Natalie again on the side making Natalie cry and lie on her back.
“This is for making fun of me and keeping me in prison you fool!” Paula shouted at her.
“What are you talking about?” Natalie cried indignantly. “I have never hurt you. Why are you doing this to me?”
“I hate you!” Paula screamed and raised the pipe in the air to hit Natalie again.
Natalie stared at the pipe in terror. She expected it to fall on anywhere on her body like a thunder bolt. She had to defend herself and the only part she had strength in was in her legs that were also close to Paula.
She kicked Paula’s feet, making Paula loose balance and fall backward, releasing the pipe and knock her head on the flooding sink.
Natalie watched as Paula drop on the bathroom floor, with a huge thud and a paddle of blood build up around the head.
Natalie panted and felt her stomach and ribs, struggling to get on her feet. She was so confused. She was almost sure that she killed Paula.

She placed groped hand on the wall for support and dragged herself to the exit to call for help.

***

5:00PM in New York City
"That will be all, thank you Mrs. Bradley.” A police officer told the lady after concluding her interrogation in his office.
Mrs. Bradley, who sat across the police’s desk, nodded and thanked as well, rising.
She left the room and emerged into a narrow corridor, walking to the hallway where Grayson and more other people were waiting for their loved ones to be bailed out or, to leave the interrogation rooms.
In the corridor, Mrs. Bradley met a cop maneuvering a delinquent to the cells on another side of the Police station. She shook her head, thinking just how the boy’s mother must have been feeling. She wanted neither of her children to grow up and have rude habits like Simon or his likes.
She entered the hallway and Grayson, the averagely tall young man with very black and glossy hair, rose to receive her.
He removed his headphones to communicate with Mrs. Bradley and joined his hands a bit anxiously. “So, how was it?” He asked.
“It was good that the NYPD believed me.” She replied and glanced at the baby in the trolley next to Gray. “How is he?”
“He has been well behaved. I think that, there is a chemistry between us.”
Mrs. Bradley smiled a little.
“Shall we go now?” He asked.
“Yes. I want to get out of this place.” she said, sounding a bit agitated.
Grayson nodded and led the way out.
Later, they sat in Mrs. Bradley’s car. Grayson was behind the wheels and Mrs. Bradley sat at the front seat, snuggling her baby close to her chest.
He started the engine and glimpsed at Mrs. Bradley’s face. She was quite disturbed. Maybe it was her first time to be a witness to something, especially because she also associated with the victim.
“So, do they know who killed him?” He asked, driving the car out of the station.
“No, but, they are looking for him. They also found out that, his friend died. Simon shot him accidentally, aiming at my daughter. Simon tried to rape Natalie, her boyfriend saved her.”
Grayson widened his eyes in puzzlement. “All that happened? When?”
“According to one of Simon’s friends who was arrested, last year.”
“Did Natalie tell you about it?”
“No. And that’s what makes me feel bad.”
Gray was silent or a moment, trying to imagine how everything happened. “Did she press charges?”
“No but, Simon ran away from New York a few days later. He only came back to lie to me about my daughter.”
“I am so sorry Mrs. Bradley.”
“Thank you son.” Mrs. Bradley replied warmly and cuddled her son’s cheeks. “I just can’t wait or the day to come when, our family will be rejoined again.” She said longingly. “I want all my kids with me, to watch them grow and take care of them.” she said and turned to Grayson. “And you too, Gray.”
Grayson smiled at that. “Thank you Mrs. Bradley.”
They drove silently for a while, until Mrs. Bradley received a phone call.
“Hallow honey?” She called, when she went on air with her husband.
“Hi dear. Have you already left the station?” Mr. Brad replied.
“Yes honey. I’m with Grayson here. He has been a great help.”
“Good. Please thank him for me. So, are you heading back home?”
“Yes honey.”
“Okay. I will try to send you something later. I am seeing my bosses in a few minutes.”
“Thank you darling. I wish you all the best in your meeting.”
“Thank you dear. Kiss Nathan for me.”
Mrs. Bradley laughed. “Okay. So, you have already named him after you?”
He laughed back. “No, no. But, calling him Nathan is unavoidable. After all, you did name him Nathanael.”
“Okay Mr. Daddy. I will kiss Nathan junior for you.”
“That’s even a greater name, Nathan Junior.”
Mom laughed. “I hope that he takes after you.”
“Sure, sure honey. Gotta go now, my superiors are here.” He said quickly.
“Okay. Goodbye, God bless you.” Mrs. Bradley bid her husband before the connection ended. She smiled to herself and lowered her chin to look at the baby. “You heard that, kiddo? You will be called Nathan from now on.”

HAMERTON Chapter 3 episode 5

Previously on Hamerton; The HOR arrive Hamerton and Natalie is reluctant to receive them. Ivan meets the Oliver Geniuses who also happens to detest the allegiance and he uses that to encourage Natalie to break the union or at least, ban Paula from being apart of it.
Trevor resolved to tell Natalie to break the union.
Continue;

Trevor stood anxiously at the balcony of their University building, holding his cellphone against his ear. The phone kept on ringing without being received. He cursed and lowered it, trying to call again.
“C’mon pick up the phone Natalie.” He murmured, tapping his phone.
Just then, he felt a hand placed over his shoulder and he turned around quickly.
“Hallow?” Kehlan greeted, standing in front him. She was quite sullen unlike he usually saw her.
“Hi.” He replied.
She glanced at the phone in his hand and later at him. “Sorry, did I interrupt your call with someone?”
“No.” he replied and sighed. “Actually, I have been trying to reach this person and could not succeed.”
“I am sorry for you.” she said in a low and sad voice.
He furrowed his eyebrows. “Everything okay?”
She shook her head slowly. Her eyes also glittered with tears.
He narrowed his eyes. “What’s the matter?”
She blinked quickly, trying to shave away her tears and swallowed. “Can we talk?”
“Sure, sure.” He nodded and added. “At the café perhaps?”
“No. The trysting tree at the east of the theater hall. It’s quitter there.” He suggested.
He nodded. “Okay. Amh… There is a trysting tree inside campus?”
She chuckled, showing her first smile since she arrived. “You clearly do not walk around.”
“Well...” he begun excusing himself. “Maybe not that much.”

Back in Hamerton, Natalie took the stage before the HOR. The Representative students, from various schools, occupied a row of seats in a mini conference hall within block B of Hamerton. Here was where Natalie received the House Of Representatives for the first time since they arrived. She had given instructions not to use the Parliament or the theater for their initial meeting and kept the press out of the discussion.
After greeting, she scanned the speech on the decibel that Ivan prepared for her. She smiled a little and read. “Honorable members of the System of Organization of The House Of Representatives, namely; Hamerton School in Madrid, Hamerton girls’ school in Manchester, Neumann Oberschule, Oliver Geniuses, Riktig måte, St. Ann Marie,” she turned to the spectators. “Hamerton School in Hamerton feels greatly privileged to host you and hold the twenty third annual meeting of the House of Representatives in our campus. I, as President of Hamerton, on behalf of the Hamerton community say; welcome.” She begun and paused for some ‘thank you’s.
She turned back to the paper. “Honourable members of SOHOR, you will find that, over the past months, since our last meeting, a lot of things have changed in Hamerton School in Hamerton. This includes the students’ government which is the vital component of the SOHOR. As it is, the primary pillar of SOHOR, government transitions, within the member schools, must coincide with the inauguration in the SOHOR.” She faced the audience. “Honorable members of SOHOR, I believe that, there are some things that we have not addressed. In the inauguration, which the current government of Hamerton School in Hamerton has not yet gone through, the HOR swear to integrity. Some months ago, contrary to that happened, with a leader of the House Of Representatives causing the brutal death of another member of the HOR.” At this the Oliver Geniuses students nodded in approval. Natalie smiled at that. “Hamerton School in Hamerton, does not think that there is any need to go through the inauguration or even, maintain this allegiance, if the principles of the System of Organization of the House of Representatives are violated without the culprits being, punished.” She said, fixing her gaze on Paula who already seemed restless.
At the Hamerton’s side, Sylvester frowned. That was not what he expected from Natalie. He thought that, they agreed to leave the subject of breaking the allegiance out of the discussion. Ivan, who sat next to him, gave Sylvester an assured smile, signaling him that everything was okay.
Natalie went on, looking at the paper. “I recognize the clause 16 of the Constitution that, any member of the SOHOR can delay or reject the inauguration procedure of the SOHOR if at all the member has a valid complaint against the observation of the pillars of the SOHOR.” She turned to her hearers. “In this case, the death of a member of SOHOR in the hands of another member of SOHOR is more than a valid complaint. Hamerton School in Hamerton has every right to be fearful of the SOHOR given that, the incident that happened eight months ago, was not dealt with.” She paused, steeling herself to add. “Hamerton School in Hamerton hereby place a vote of no confidence on the current leaders of the SOHOR and…" she took in a deep breath and went on, "since, we have not yet been inaugurated…” she searched for Ivan in the room and smiled broadly when their gaze met. “I hereby declare the withdrawal of Hamerton School in Hamerton, from the System of Organization of the House of Representatives.”
“What!” Hans exclaimed along with more other representatives inside the room.
Sylvester could not keep himself from rising and walking straight to the decibel.
“What are you doing?” he snapped at Natalie.
“Keeping my school safe.” She replied.
“You can’t do this!” The leader of the Hamerton School in Madrid called out from the spectators.
Sylvester grabbed the mic, slightly pushing Natalie aside. “Honorable members of SOHOR…” He begun before the microphone stopped working.
He frowned and glared at Ivan who seemed to have been mischievously mastered that.
Ivan had risen from his seat. He neglected Sylvester and turned to the HOR members. “Natalie has every right to do whatever she did.” He told them. “This allegiance has caused nothing more than bloodshed, contrary to the integrity that the members of SOHOR have sworn to. With all due respect, honorable members of the SOHOR, you are now recognized as transfer students from partner schools of Hamerton and not members of some wicked allegiance.”
There were shocked gasps.
“Do you know what you’re doing?” A Riktig måte student asked, rising to respond to Ivan. “Breaking this allegiance will cost you dearly.”
“This is just a misunderstanding.” Sylvester tried to intervene.
“No. It is no misunderstanding.” Alastair disagreed, rising as well. “Oliver Geniuses is also against this allegiance given that, we are the victims of the violation of the SOHOR pillar.”
The St. Ann Marie girls were silent.
“Mr. Alastair?” Hans called, trying to plead with him.
“It is true, Hans. We find no profit in this allegiance and it will be against the memory of our member if we keep it.” Alastair told him.
“Mr. Alastair we will deal with that, there is no need to break this union.” Sylvester said.
“There is.” Alastair rejected.
The Hamerton girls of Manchester just shook their heads with impatience.
“Gentlemen, please?” Ivan called. “May we please retire to our temporary homes, we will take care of informing your schools that, Hamerton has been withdrawn from SOHOR and they can pick you at any time from now.”
“You’re throwing us out?” the Riktig måte leader asked.
“Wait till Archibald hears about this!” The leader of Hamerton School in Madrid shouted from the back seats.
Tension inside the room grew as everyone begun arguing about the double-decade old allegiance break up.
Natalie gulped. She never stopped to think about what Archibald would say after hearing what she just did. She knew that Archibald was equally as bad as the rest of the SOHOR were.
“Boys, boys, quite.”
All eyes in the room turned to the center of the crowd from where the sound came from.
A brunette and the only in the room, rose. She was about eighteen as Natalie imagined. She wore a dark suit and seemed quite confident under her attire. “If Natalie wants to withdraw Hamerton from the allegiance then, so be it.” She said defiantly.  “It’s not like SOHOR is shaken.” She added and turned to Alastair. “My condolences Mister Alastair and if you want to break from the allegiance, it’s alright.” She said and turned to Hans. “Hold yourself together, Hans. You’re better than that.”
Hans cleared his throat and groomed his uniform daintily.
The girl looked at Natalie and took the straight path to the stage and halted a few feet from her. “You’re just as I heard.”
Natalie was silent, not wanting to flinch in front her.
“Brilliant, bold, modest but, stupid.” The girl remarked.
Natalie frowned. “I will not take that from you.”
She chuckled devilishly. “You will rot, Natalie Bradley and I will see to it that you do.”
Natalie fumed with furry.
Ivan, who had already approached the two, took Natalie’s side. “May I remind you that, you are talking to the President.” He said.
The girl glanced at him and nodded to whatever she understood. “It’s alright.” She said and turned back to the HOR who were still watching. “Let us leave with our pride ladies and gentlemen.”

Most of them nodded in agreement and made their way out of the conference hall.

HAMERTON Chapter 3 episode 4

 HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.
Hallo new viewers and Happy weekend!

Previously on Hamerton. Kenneth contacted Trevor and informed him about Simon's death. Kenneth thinks that it was SOHOT who did it. To keep Natalie from going through the inauguration, Trevor thinks of telling her to break the allegiance with SOHOR but, not unto his and Kenneth' expectation, the HOR are arriving Hamerton, soon.

Continue;

Natalie stood at the patio of the main building entrance, watching as the buses carrying the House Of Representatives arrive Hamerton. She had her hands joined behind her back, waiting in silence as three buses, skid across the driveway to the building’s front yard.
“Miss President.”
She twisted her head to above her left shoulder and smiled at Suresh. “Yes?”
Aren't you going to walk down and greet the guests?”
“I’d rather not.” She said.
He nodded. “I remember that incident in Berlin last year. I am so sorry that you have to face up with the St. Ann Marie girl again.”
She sighed. “Thank you.”
“But, you know, security in Hamerton has improved.”
“I do. But, the girl still gives me Goosebumps. Ashleigh died so awfully and it was all her doing.”
“Do you know how she got out? She was arrested right?”
“Yes. But, I was called to the hearing to testify against her but, my mom wouldn't let me. She also did not want to waste our resources. France is very far you know.”
“From your home, yes but, not from here.”
“Yes.” She agreed and turned back to the yard.
The buses' doors were already opening and beginning to drop some of the students.

Ivan was at the yard on behalf of Natalie. He welcomed the guests with Sylvester and the school’s discipline teacher, Mr. Gram.
Ivan exchanged handshakes with the HOR, greeting them; “Welcome to Hamerton on behalf of the School President.”
“Guten Tag, Wie geht es Ihnen?” Sylvester addressed the Neumann Oberschule students.
The Head Boy of Neumann, who was also the one who received Hamerton in Germany, Hans Muller responded. “Gut, danke. You can speak very well in German.”
“Well, I try.” Sylvester replied modestly.
“Our school is very sorry for what happened last time in the international competitions. Our coming today is to rectify things with Hamerton. I also heard that, Miss Natalie is the new President.”
“Yes.” Sylvester replied. “And she will see you in the lounge room.”
“Thank you.” Hans replied.
Ivan had to receive the French students and without knowing, shook hands with Paula Moure.
Paula was older then. Her red hair had grown and she left it to dangle over her back.
“Bon après-midi.” he greeted her.
“Bonjour.” She replied impassively. “I want to assure you that St. Marie is the best school in all of Europe. Tell your President that.”
Ivan remained silent, quite amused with her attitude.
She walked away and Ivan smiled to receive different member students of the HOR. They wore blue and white colored uniforms.
‘Scotland.’ Ivan thought and extended his hand. “Good afternoon.”
The leader did not reply to his greeting. “Oliver Geniuses is still dissenting this union. We are wondering why we lost our student and no one was accounted for it.”
‘Ashleigh’ Ivan thought. “I hope that, that will be in the agenda of discussion, mister…”
“Alastair.” The boy helped reluctantly.
“Yes amh. Mister Alastair we will discuss that.”
Without a reply, Alastair and his people walked on.

Mr. Gram ushered the visitors into Block B of the school buildings where was the lounge hall prepared to entertain the guests for a while, before they could refresh in their temporary homes.
When Ivan did not find Natalie in the lounge hall, he went to look for her in her office.
As he expected, Natalie was there, pacing nervously in front of her desk.
“Natalie?” He called her when he entered the office, unnoticed.
She turned to him. “Yes?”
“What are you doing?” he asked, grimacing.
She sighed. “I am afraid Ivan.”
He shook his head, feeling sorry for her. “Natalie, you will be fine. You can’t let that girl get the best of you.”
“Ivan, you don’t understand. If you were in my shoes, if you had seen what I saw, you won’t be saying that. I don’t want to go out there.” She said, almost crying.
He abandoned the door and walked to her. “Natalie, you are the President of Hamerton.”
“That’s not enough. That’s not enough because, a murderer like Paula keeps roaming free and… the SOHOR or whatsoever are going to destroy the school and there’s nothing that I, as President, can do to save us.” She said in devastation.
“Don’t say that Natalie, you have got the badge.” He coaxed her.
She shook her head and turned aside. “I just wish that I could break this allegiance. I just wish that I could cut the ties and end this once and for all.”
Ivan narrowed his eyes. He thought that he heard the same words somewhere.
His eyes flashed with an idea and he took a stand in front of her. “Natalie, you are not the only one who think that.”
“What?” she asked in a low hopeless voice.
“Yes!” Ivan said, taking her hand in excitement.
She sniffed and, like old times, he offered her his handkerchief. She thanked him and blew her nose in it. “I don’t understand Ivan, what are you talking about?” She asked afterward.
“I am saying that, there are other people in the organization who also do not agree with the allegiance.”
She took a few seconds, pondering the possibility. “How many are they, Ivan? I read the constitution. The allegiance can’t be broken except by half of the organization who do not agree with it.”
“It’s Oliver Geniuses alone. But, we can conduct opinion polls. I met Paula. She doesn't like you either. Maybe she can vote against the allegiance.”
“I don’t like the sound of her but, that would make three. The allegiance has at least fifteen member schools and, less than those are here today in Hamerton.”
“Are there more coming?”
“No, according to Sylvester.”
Ivan was silent, vainly searching in the office room for solutions.
“See, Ivan? I have every reason to be disappointed.”
Ivan glanced at her. “What if there was a way to get rid of Paula, alone?”
“How?”
“The Oliver Geniuses want for the culprit who murdered their student to be punished. If she can’t get formal justice then, there must be a clause in the constitution that deals with people who harm members of the other schools within SOHOR.” He suggested. “After all, you do swear to integrity right?”
She nodded. “Of course.” She said smiling. “I haven’t taken the oath yet but, she has. She is liable to face any judgment that SOHOR will give her.”
Ivan smiled too. “There’s the spirit. Do not let your spirit be broken by what that girl says.”
“Yes.” She said with boldness replacing defeat. “Thank you Ivan.”
He smiled. “It’s always a pleasure to put a smile on your face.”
She gave him a hug that he held on to, wishing that it would last forever.
She drew back with a little struggle and hit him lightly. “You shouldn't get used to that.”
“Sorry.” He excused himself.
“C’mon, let’s go and take down that girl.”

HAMERTON 2 SOHOT/SOHOR??

HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.

She teams up with Ingrid and their fellow seniors against the House of Representatives to prevent a bomb blast that could cause a large massacre.

Previously on Hamerton. Caitlin thinks about Natalie and wants to contact her. She receives an email from her informant who tells her that Natalie and Ivan are going out and that Natalie is a bad person. Caitlin is very affected by the mail.

Chapter Three: SOHOT/ SOHOR??
“Natalie? Natalie?” Ivan called, running to Natalie in the heavily crowded hallway.
Natalie, who was nearing the staircase at the end of the hallway, turned around and raised her eyebrows, halting to wait for him.
Ivan increased pace toward her.
Just as the distance narrowed between them, Natalie’s attention was caught by a couple of reporters, led by Cheryl.
She gave Ivan her back and faced the school journalists.
“Miss President. The students have been awaiting your statement on the ball that is to take place tomorrow, in favor of the House Of Representatives, who are due to arrive at 2:00pm this afternoon. Will you tell the media and the Hamerton society who are watching you live on HTV, how you plan to welcome the HOR and what you have instored for them on tomorrow’s ball?” Cheryl asked quickly.
Natalie pulled a screwed face. “The ball is in honor of_”
She begun and was interrupted by Ivan who bumped into them. “Yes, yes.” He said quickly and turned to Natalie who offered him a startled expression. “The President is very much aware of the arrival of the House of Representatives.” He added and turned to the press. “The ball will be grand, most assuredly and our guests will have the most pleasant welcome.”
Cheryl nodded at him.
“There have been concerns that, due to the enormous February intake, the dorm buildings of Hamerton cannot accommodate the visitors. As the President, do you authorize the use of the Leaders’ quarters for the 50 HOR arriving guests?” Another reporter, with a tape recorder, asked Natalie.
Natalie was still lost. She was hardly aware of the House of Representatives’ arrival much less the scarcity of their places to stay.
Ivan took charge again. “We are still discussing that in the administration panel and we hope to come with the conclusion before our guests arrive.”
Natalie nodded, looking boldly at the reporters.
“Can you share the agenda that brings the HOR to Hamerton?” Cheryl added.
“No, no. It is… a surprise! But, it will be good for Hamerton.” Ivan answered and taking Natalie’s hand said, “Now, if you will excuse us. The President cannot answer any questions now. We will call for a press conference later and then we will be able to answer all your questions.”
With a little struggle, Ivan was able to get Natalie out of the media and they walked hastily across the hallway to a staircase on the opposite side.
“What were they talking about?” she asked Ivan, as they neared the first floor of the building.
“What I was about to tell you. The HOR are arriving later at two and you have to prepare for that.”
“How come I am not informed about this? And that there is scarcity of their accommodation… Ivan? Are they coming on short notice?”
“Not exactly. I was with the Vice President last Friday. We thought that we could handle everything.”
Natalie paused just when they were outside her office door. She frowned at him. “You thought that you could handle everything without telling me? Ivan? I needed to know that. I could get ridiculed by the public if I am ignorant of big events happening in school such as the hosting of the HOR.”
He was silent, seeming a bit restless.
She narrowed her eyes. “Ivan. Why did you keep that from me? What are you hiding?”
Ivan put his hand around her and reached for the door knob. She drew back a few steps and he opened the door. “Please?” he asked, waving inside.
She shook her head in disappointment and walked in.
She trod to her desk and leaned on it, waiting for his explanation with her hands crossed below her breasts. “So, tell me.”

Meanwhile, Ingrid was busy placing posters on the school board for the next day’s ball.
She put her hand above her eyebrows, squinting her eyes below the noon sun, to satisfy the organization of the posters.
Appeased, she turned to Carlito who held the posters and glue for her. “We are done.” She announced.
“Okay. Where next?” Carlito asked.
Ingrid looked around the vast green school compound that was also sparsely occupied with students moving here in there. She noticed the evergreen oaks and saw them as spots for placing the posters. “There.”
Carlito nodded and started off while she was held up by a phone, buzzing in her skirt pocket.
She took it out and became alerted after reading the name.
She received it. “Hallow?”
“We have a problem.” A male’s voice greeted.

“What!” Natalie exclaimed, after Ivan’s statement.
She parted her hands and straightened herself.
“Do you see why me and Sylvester decided to hide this from you?” Ivan asked.
“Ivan. This should have been the more reason for you to let me know. So that I could prepare myself. So that I could know what to expect.” She said, pacing to and fro in front of her desk.
“Look at how it is getting to you?” he said, feeling sorry for her.
She paused and turned to him. “I don’t understand. How could_”
The door burst open and the two turned to the front to welcome Ingrid who was panting and seemingly anxious. “Natalie? Did you hear?”
“Yes. And, it seems that everybody did except me.” Natalie said eyeing Ivan reproachfully.
“What are we going to do, Natalie?” Ingrid asked and lowered her voice to add, “Your life is in danger.”
Natalie sighed deeply. “I don’t know now. I… don’t know.” She said somberly.
“We should call Trevor.” Ingrid suggested.
“No. Ingrid. If we try to reach him then his father will realize that we are still communicating. We can’t afford that.” Natalie disagreed. “I don’t want to lose him forever, no.”
“Who helped you the last time?” Ivan asked after a brief moment of contemplating in silence.
“Corny Howls but, I don’t know if…” Natalie begun and sighed with devastation.
“Corny?” Ingrid repeated. “I will see then.”  She said and left.
“Natalie,” Ivan begun trying to approach her.
She drew back, waving her hands in defense. “Please don’t. Just, get my speech ready for the conference you told the media about and send for my vice and the Minister of Dorm Affairs.”

Ivan nodded reluctantly and left.

Who are they talking about and how is he/she a threat to Natalie? Stay tuned to find out!
