HAMERTON 2 Chapter 3 episode 3

HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.
Hallo new viewers and Happy weekend!

Hamerton. A large school offering the finest Education to the students of the state and overseas. Natalie joins this school arriving from Brooklyn and she has grief over her lost friends who were murdered in Hamerton. She teams up with Ingrid and their fellow seniors against the House of Representatives to prevent a bomb blast that could cause a large massacre.

Previously on Hamerton; Natalie is stressed about having Paula Moure back in her life. She tries to convince her Vice President to revoke the Hamerton constitution by breaking allegiance with the member schools of SOHOR.
Simon was kidnapped.

Trevor sat on a bench in the open of the University campus.
He was studying alone as he gradually bit from his favorite Five Guys Burger.
“Mm.” he said to the taste and swallowed.
Just then his phone buzzed in his trouser pocket and he fetched it.
“Hallow?” he called when he went on air with the caller.
“Trevor?” Kenneth’s voice came.
Trevor became alerted. “Hallow Kenneth. Yes it’s Trevor. How are things?”
“Okay. Listen, we need to clarify some things.”
Trevor furrowed his eyebrows. “About?”
“Hamerton.”
Trevor twisted his head looking away. He vainly hoped that he could see his brother at the spot he last did. “Of course, tell me, are you in London?”
“Yes. Outside your school actually. Can you come to my car?”
Immediately Trevor rose. He closed his book and crumpled a Ziploc bag that had his lunch. “Sure. Where is it parked?”
“Just come out first.” He instructed.
“On my way.” Trevor said and hang up then pocketed his phone. He carried his book under his arm and started leaving the university compound.

He found Kenneth’ Bugatti across the roadway that led to the University. He walked briskly to it and opened the door opposite the driver’s and got in.
“Hallo Kenneth?” He greeted first, closing the door behind himself.
Kenneth, who had his seatbelt on and his hand holding the wheel, replied. “Hey.”
Trevor fastened his own seatbelt. “So, are we going somewhere?”
“I was thinking about that. Though, it ain’t necessary.”
“Alright. Are we having a secured communication?”
“Yes. I never get in touch with you without making sure of that.”
Trevor nodded. “So, tell me.”
Kenneth opened his glove compartment and Trevor watched him as he took out a couple of documents from it.
He waved a green file to Trevor who took it with queer.
“What’s this?” Trevor asked.
“Excerpts from a postmortem file.”
Trevor furrowed his eyebrow but, he was not going to question how Kenneth got it. Trevor knew that Kenneth had his ways. “Belonging to who?” Was Trevor’s actual worry.
“Simon, Natalie’s old boyfriend who tried to harass her a year ago.”
Trevor’s mouth dropped open with shock. He did not care for the guy but, the news of his sudden death estranged him. He opened the file hastily and ended up grimacing at the gruesome photos. He drew in a deep sigh, deciding not to continue. “How did he die?” he asked his brother.
“He was drowned. At least that’s what the police concluded after finding his body in a dumpster close to the Jones beach.” Kenneth replied.
“He was drowned?” Trevor repeated fearfully. “You mean he was murdered?”
“Likely. If you check the postmortem file, you will see that he had marks around his hands and feet that suggest that he was tied. Otherwise, there were no other markings to indicate a beating or other form of physical harassment.”
Trevor took a few seconds digesting the news. “Does the police have any lead on who might have killed him?”
“No.” Kenneth said “But, they do have a crucial witness.”
“Who?”
“Natalie’s mom.” Kenneth replied and checked to see Trevor’s expression. He was appalled. Kenneth went on. “She was the last person to see Simon after he went in hiding for over the past year. It is my guessing that, Simon was cooking something against your Natalie.”
Trevor was upset. “I don’t believe what’s happening. Is Natalie’s mom okay?”
“She is not arrested if that’s what you’re asking, the rest, I’m unaware.”
“I am worried for Natalie.” He said somberly.
“And there’s more that you should be worried about.”
“What? Tell me.” He requested, almost begging to be withdrawn from the uncertainty of matters.
“There’s a possibility that Simon was kidnapped, and tied up, to gain some information from him. Information probably related to you or Natalie. Given Simon’s history with her, I don’t think that he would have hesitated to grant his harassers what they wanted.”
“But, Kenneth, Simon was a bad person. He could have been kidnapped by people whom he owed stuff… maybe drugs, I don’t know.”
“Maybe. But, we can’t leave out the possibility that he was abducted by the SOHOT people.”
Trevor was silent, considering the idea. “What could they have wanted from him?”
“Natalie’s info perhaps. Or yours.” Kenneth suggested.
Trevor sighed and glanced at the other documents that his brother had in hand. “And what are those files you’re holding?”
Kenneth passed to him a spiral bound book.
Trevor stared at it. “Hamerton’s constitution.” He read and glanced at Kenneth. “What’s this for?”
“There’s a clause there that I found quite interesting. The part of the House Of Representatives in your governance.”
Trevor nodded. He recalled then that the HOR played a vital role in empowering the Hamerton ruling authority. “Yes. The System of Organization of the House Of Representatives. In short, SOHOR.”
“Now, doesn't that sound too familiar?” Kenneth asked with an arched eyebrow.
“SOHOT.” Trevor reckoned in realization. “But, you told me that S and O stand for Secret Organization.”
“Yes. It’s very evident now that they are a part of your SOHOR thing.”
Trevor glanced away thoughtfully. He turned to the book when he felt the need to.
He opened to a page written;

SYSTEM OF ORGANIZATION OF THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Pg. 1 Inauguration

Trevor stared intently at the page and turned to Kenneth. “I have been through this. While I was a minister. That is how I became part of the sect in the first place. Back then it was only the Senior Organization with the House Of Representatives. The seniors only thought that it was eminent for them to have an influential rule in Hamerton. One that wasn't shakable… We sought allegiance with big schools within and outside Europe. That is why the seniors’ rule was the only rule. Well, of course, until now, in Natalie’s time.” He paused to add regretfully. “But, it went far. The seniors, working with Archibald, were plotting a bomb, . Somehow Caitlin found out and they were ready to kill her. Their efforts cost the lives of five of our seniors. I couldn't be a part of them anymore.”
Kenneth looked at him pitifully. “I am sorry for that bro.” he commented.
“Can you find out when the current government of Hamerton will be inaugurated in the SOHOR system?”
“I can.”
“Thank you. I will have to talk to Natalie in breaking that allegiance. I escaped from the SOHOR because of my background. They all know how my father and you are powerful. I can’t say the same for Natalie.”
“I agree with you.” Kenneth said stretching his hand to take his phone from the dashboard. “If it’s the allegiance that is causing disasters then it has to be broken.”
Kenneth pressed a few buttons and dialed.
Trevor shuffled the constitution pages as Kenneth communicated with his intel in Hamerton.
He murmured as he perused the book. “The System of Organization Of the House of Representatives operates under four pillars which,” he traced the lines as he read. “Every member will have to recite five times on the inauguration day. These four pillars are to be observed without compromise by each of the member parties. The first and foremost pillar is integrity, this means that all the SOHOR members are one. The member parties must agree to share in everything both good and favorable tasks plus difficult tasks…” he paused, furrowing his eyebrows. “Citation needed?”
“Trevor?” Kenneth called, drawing his brother’s attention.
“Yes?” Trevor asked.
“I think that you maybe late for whatever you had in mind. I was just informed that the HOR are arriving your school in about,” he checked his wristwatch, “thirty minutes.”

Trevor was shocked. “What??”

What happened next? Stay tuned to find out!

HAMERTON 2 Chapter 1- episode 2

 HAMERTON 2
Thank you God for this opportunity.

Previously on Hamerton; Natalie is the President of Hamerton and a senior student. Trevor is in perfect health and has joined University. He meets Kehlan who's information, Mr. Tommy and Corny have a lot to provide.

Continue;

The door to Natalie’s office opened to reveal Ivan in the black uniforms of Hamerton. He had moved to study with Natalie a month before.
Natalie did not want to hear about the watch that she asked him to recover. She only wanted to embrace the company which he was very much willing to offer.
“Miss President?” he greeted, allowing himself in.
“Oh. It’s good that you are here Ivan.”
He walked to her desk and looked down on the file on top of it. “What’s that for?”
“Cheryl gave it to me to review. She wants it for the school magazine.”
“May I sit?” he asked.
She waved a hand to the chair in front of her desk. “Where are my manners? Of course you may.”
He sat. “You know, I am yet to adjust to your school. So, I don’t remember many names. Who is Cheryl?”
“The chief editor of HM. She also reports for HTV.”
He raised an inquisitive eyebrow. “Which is?”
She chuckled once. “Okay. HTV stands for Hamerton Television and HM for Hamerton Magazine.”
He nodded. “Nice.”
“Okay. Amh, the school is organizing for a ball dance or something.” She bent down and pulled a drawer from which she took out an envelope. “Check that out.”
He took the envelope and pulled out a handful of brochures. He separated one from the rest and scanned it with his eyes. “Don’t you need a sports prefect or someone for this thing?”
“Yes. But, my minister got a problem and he had to leave school.”
He glanced at her. “How can I be of assistance?”
“Oversee that everything goes perfect. Including the music. I think that, that will be a great opportunity for you to expose your skills as a DJ.”
He nodded. “Who will I need to look for from here? About this issue?”
“Oh. Amh, just find a couple of friends. And the deputy Minister of Sports. I’ll link him to you.”
He returned the brochures inside the envelope. “Thank you for this.”
“Welcome. So, tell me. What brings you here?”
“You.”
She raised her eyebrows. “Me?”
“Yes you. I want you to go out and see the light.”
“You are exaggerating. I do see the light.”
“Not when you come from the dormitory to the office and from the office to class and back to the dormitory.”
“You’re wrong. I go to the cafeteria for breakfast and dinner.”
“That doesn't excuse you from going out with me or anyone else for that matter.”
She rounded her eyes and turned to her file.
“Natalie. You are still on that guy. Trevor.”
She drew a deep sigh and looked at him. “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Well you should. Get it over with. Natalie, face it. He felt better and practically abandoned you. No text from him no email. Maybe he never loved you.”
“Don’t say that.” She begged with tears tingling her eyes.
He drew forward and fetched her hand on the desk. “Natalie. I care for you. You are my friend and in Caitlin’s memory, I don’t want you to suffer.” He paused to take her response but, she remained silent. “Natalie. Please?”
She took her hand. “I don’t know how to follow your advice. Trevor’s a part of me that I will never get over with.”
He drew back. “You’re too young to say that.”
She scowled at him but stayed quiet.
He rose. “Since you have refused to take my advice, I will leave you now and work on what you have given me.”
She did not reply.
He shook his head a little. He pitied her.
When he left, Natalie did not know what to think. She did not want to believe that Trevor forgot her. Clearly he was fine. He had all the means to communicate with her. But, why choose not to?
She sighed. Maybe Ivan was right. She had to let go and move on. After all, there was no longer any bomb blasts. She might as well have her own blast.

Trevor walked down the stairs below the portico of the University domain building. From the distance, he picked a glance of a familiar figure standing in the open grounds beyond the building.
He grinned a little and followed the path to where his brother was.
Trevor thought that Kenneth came to visit him after the long while that they were apart.
Kenneth was wearing a black long-sleeved shirt and black trousers. He also had his hands on his waist, squinting his eyes below the scorching sun, as he watched Trevor approach him.
Trevor halted in front of him and they exchanged a light hand shake and a hug.
They drew to a shade under a London Plane.
“How are things bro?” Kenneth asked first.
“Okay so far. I keep a low profile just like dad asked.”
“Ah… father. He is always so protective.”
“And you? How’s your family?”
“Great. I thank God. Adam is walking now.”
Trevor nodded. “So, you named him Adam?”
“Yeap.”
Trevor looked around for a second and back at him. “Why don’t we get a special place to talk? I really missed you, you know.”
“I wish so too but, hey? Have you forgotten completely about Hamerton?”
Trevor furrowed his eyebrows. “No. Why?”
“Because. Nothing’s been put to rest. With your wicked principal around, everything is quite, the same.”
Trevor was confused. “I don’t understand.” He confessed. “Nicky’s dead. Some of the seniors and those belonging to the sect were apprehended. Madam Sue improved security and Natalie is now the senior President. What could be wrong?”
“Your principal and the House of Representatives.”
He frowned. “How are the HOR involved?”
“See, I finally got the full meaning of SOHOT. The sect that was and still is running in Hamerton.”
“What does it mean?”
Kenneth looked around for security and pressed a device in his right ear. There was a voice that Trevor also heard from a receiver in his own ear. “All clear.”
Kenneth looked at Trevor. “Secret Organization of the House Of Representatives.”
Trevor furrowed his eyebrows. “I don’t get it. If…” he paused, searching vainly on the ground. He glanced at Kenneth. “If it is as you say then. Why ‘T’ instead of ‘R’?”
“To make it more secretive.”
Trevor was silent for a while. Absorbing the few facts.
“Brother. You have to do something. I guarantee that the DEAD line of all Hamerton students is still on.”
“I don’t know what to do. My hands are tied. Dad keeps watching me.” He gasped. “Oh my God, Natalie.”
“I can cover for you with dad. Go to Hamerton. Natalie must know that she needs the missing piece of the badge.”
Trevor thought. “Kenneth. Even if you distract dad, what can we do about Corny? He must be listening to us right now.”
“No. I jeopardized their communication so that I can push through with this talk with you.”
“Who really are the HOR and what are they planning?”
“First of all, they don’t know that their comrades in Hamerton were murdered. Two, they will bring reinforcements for Archibald. They are more professional and very tactic.”
Trevor swallowed and nodded. “How do you know all these?”
“I’ve never stopped following up on Hamerton’s case. Especially after Mr. Dickson was discharged from the mental Hospital suddenly.”
“Mr. Dickson is?”
“Ralph’s class teacher.”
“He got sick?”
“That’s a story for another time but, he is involved with SOHOT.”
Trevor sighed again. “Do you know what happened to Steven?”
“He disappeared.”
“How?”
“Not clear but, he disappeared and was never heard from again.”
“Corny has no lead of him?”
“I don’t think so.”
Trevor took in a deep breath. “Kenneth please take care of father. I’ll take care of seeing Natalie.”
“And Corny?”
“I will have to find words to talk to him.”
“Will you be able to convince him to be on your side?”
“I have to. I have to rely on the chances that he will help me.”
Kenneth nodded. “I hope that we will get the chance to talk again and maybe you come to Paris with me to meet my family.”
Trevor smiled and initiated a hug with him.

What will follow next? Stay tuned to find out!

Hamerton - Final episode

Hallow new readers & all viewers!
This is a story about Hamerton, a large school that has a lot of things going on, most of them being illegal and terrorizing. Natalie Bradley, an intelligent and talented girl from Brooklyn joins this school after her friend Caitlin who was allegedly murdered in Hamerton. She is agonized by the news of her friend's tragic death and she has to face up with Hamerton's bloody governance in order to secure the President's badge that has the power to decode a bomb that could cause a large massacre, soon.
She teams up with Trevor Tommy, the ex and most renowned president of Hamerton, Ingrid, and other Class D students against Nicky and her fellow evil seniors.

Previously on Hamerton; Natalie is ready to face Corny Howls and tell him the truth about Trevor's kidnapping and Hamerton.
Kenneth asked Natalie to retrieve his diamond watch from Trevor.

Continue in the final episode of this part of HAMERTON

“Hallow?”
“Son?”
“Yes father?”
“Your brother is missing.”
“What!” Kenneth exclaimed at his father’s report.
He was getting ready for rest when his dad called. Kenneth sat up on the bed staring worriedly at the atmosphere.
“Yes.”
“Please father? Explain to me what happened. How can you say that Trevor is missing? How is that even possible?”
“I told you that he should not go back to that school. But, you denied my opinion on the matter and claimed that you will perform a heroic act of saving the damn place.” Father complained in grief.
“Dad, dad. Please calm down. Let me know what happened. Everything was working perfectly. His girlfriend already agreed to be President. We only needed the watch that I gave him so that we can save the school.”
“Stop with all that nonsense of saving the lives of people who I don’t even know! Your crazy service has cost my son’s comfort. God! I don’t even know where he is.” Father cried.
Kenneth sighed deeply. He felt sorry for his father more than he worried about Trevor. Trevor was the apple of dad’s eye and if anything ever happened to him, Dad was very affected.
“For your own sake Kenneth, take care that nothing wrong happens to my boy. If all but a fly falls on him, I will never forgive you, Kenneth. You heard me? Never!”
Kenneth gulped with fright.
He did not expect that his father would remain on the line after the threats but, father did.
“Dad. Please don’t say that. Have you talked to Howls?”
Dad sighed. “Yes. And it has already been a while since I did.”
“I trust him. But, I’ll also make some contacts or go to Hamerton.”
“Do absolutely everything.”
“Yes father.”
“Good bye Kenneth.”
“Good bye father.” Kenneth bid and hang up.
He drew a deep sigh afterward and darted his gaze around the hotel room.
He scratched his head, resolving the situation. He did not understand how Trevor could go missing. Was he kidnapped? Oh was he fine?
Kenneth never had much ‘affinity’ for his brother or anyone but, lately his life had changed. Having a wife and a son taught him something called affection; an ethereal thing that Kenneth never possessed.
He took his phone again and dialed some numbers.

Natalie buried her head between her legs crying under the blue blanket of the 9:00pm sky. The commotion was similar throughout the school compound.
With recovery of Nicky’s body, the whole school turned to chaos. Everyone insisted on going home and on their own, they phoned their parents who came to pick them up.
The Minister of Home affairs came to visit their school and soon the shootings in Hamerton became a national issue.
Natalie was crying because of Trevor. Ingrid mentioned that he had a few hours to live and Natalie was almost sure that it was late for him.
She had told Cowls everything she knew about Hamerton and Corny Howls went out in search for Steven. He did not allow her to accompany the police and that, made Natalie very devastated.
She knew that the police were gathering informants on the sect and because of Nicky’s murder, most of them were pressurized to tell the truth.
However, uncovering the sect was the least of her concern. She worried about Trevor. She had not seen or heard from him after they parted at John F. Kennedy airport when he brought her back from Vegas.
While in Las Vegas, Trevor shared many things with her. She was ever so in love and could do anything for him. She was very frustrated when she could not return to Hamerton because of her parents’ economic situation. Now she was back but in a very terrible moment and perhaps could not have been able to save his life.
“Trevor…” she sobbed, calling his name.
There was no response. There was the void feeling of his emptiness. He was gone.
Trevor was dead.

Watch out for the next part of Hamerton, after this break;

Chapter 14- episode 15

              HAMERTON

Hallow new readers!

Previously on Hamerton;
The day before yesterday.
“Hello?”
“Hi.”
“Natalie, right?”
“Yes. Amh, Trevor?”
There was a short laugh. “No, no dear. I wish that I could hear from him as well. It’s Kenneth.”
“Oh… Hi.”
“I have been trying to reach my brother. Have you gotten hold of him lately?”
“No Kenneth. His cellphone’s not picking up.”
“Mmh. Okay. How about his girlfriends? Ingrid, Erin?”
“I talked to Ingrid earlier. She told me that he was resting.”
“That’s great. Are you going back to Hamerton?”
“Yeah, yeah. I am.” She replied excitedly.
“Great. Tell me what you know about Erin.”
“Well… she’s Trevor and Ingrid’s friend. Mine too.” Natalie said and paused.
“What’s her connection to the sect in your school?”
Natalie took some time, thinking. “I can say deep but, she’s on our side.”
“What about the president’s badge?”
“Are you asking what I know about it?”
“Yes please.”
“Well… as I was told, it can decode the bomb that the sect are going to explode in Hamerton.”
“Anyone gave you the combination?”
Natalie furrowed her eyebrows. “No. Is there’s supposed to be a combination?”
“Yes.” Kenneth said and paused. “Listen, if you get hold of my brother, request him to send me the Tick-Tock.”
“Tick tock?”
“Yeah. He’ll understand.”
“Wait amh…” Natalie asked for some time to resolve. She drew in a deep breath. “Does that by any chance mean Trevor’s wrist watch?”
“Yea. The one my mom gave me before she died. Trevor has already told you about it right?”
Natalie gulped.
Wait… what????
“So, Trevor’s diamond wrist watch… it’s yours. You gave it to him?” she asked.
“Not exactly gave him but, my mom gave it to me. C’mon Natalie, I don’t have to narrate to you the history. Just, request Trevor to send it to me.”
“Wait… amh, Trevor doesn't have your wrist watch.”
“Don’t tell me he lost it. It’s my heirloom. We don’t usually share things and I didn't give it to him willingly.” He paused, getting sentimental. “Well, he was going to the operating room then and I let him have it. That’s all. The kid kept it since then.”
Natalie was silent, still worried.
“Okay. Just tell him to send it to me. I have my own combinations there that might match your badge. Goodbye.”
Natalie was silent.

Today
Flashes of various and similar incidents came to her mind. She turned to Natalie. “Let’s go to the bathroom.”
Natalie rose. “Okay. Where do you keep your tissue?”
“No. Not that. If it is occurring to me well, Erin was quite fond of one particular bathtub in our bathing hall.”
“Oh… yeah!” Natalie said, just realizing it.
Ingrid took her hand and strode with her to the bathroom at the end of the corridor.
The hall was large and white-tiled. There were at least 20 cubicles on each side which had built-in toilets and showers. An empty space remained at the center that the girls usually used to shower if all the bathroom cubicles were filled.
The floor was wet when the girls entered. The sound of an open shower filled the hall.
“One,” Ingrid began, taking her right hand direction across the bathroom hall.
Natalie escorted her, counting the bathrooms.
“Two, three.” Ingrid called and stopped at one cubicle with a loosely closed door.
The sound of the opened shower came from this cube.
Natalie looked down. She stepped on a larger paddle of water here.
Ingrid pushed the door open softly to reveal Erin’s favorite bathing cubicle in its destroyed form.
The toilet tank was broken and the over flow tube let out water in a violent turbulence.
“What happened here?” Natalie asked carelessly.
Ingrid looked around searching for the possible answer. She spotted a folded piece of paper lying on the water paddle beside the toilet sink.
She walked forward to pick it up. “I have a lot of reason to believe that, someone else was here before us.”
Natalie glanced at her and the paper that Ingrid was holding. “What is that?”
“Let me read it.” Ingrid said after unfolding the paper. She begun and as she went on, tears tingled her eyes. “I wrote this as I intended to talk with Morningstar, I expected that I would not survive and so… I am not.” She paused, sighing deeply.
Natalie covered her mouth, gasping and releasing her own tears.
Ingrid swallowed and went on. “I hope that you are Ingrid or Natalie or both of you.” she smiled a little at that. It was both of them. “Turn the other page.” Ingrid furrowed her eyebrows and did so.
The other page had the ink spattered because of the water.
Natalie paid attention, waiting.
“I don’t understand.” Ingrid confessed, spreading the paper in the air. “It’s some kind of blue print but, highly distorted because of getting wet.” She narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing it. Natalie had joined her hands anxiously. “Wait… wait. I know these. They are boxes but, these boxes… they stand for something.” She said and hurriedly took out the President’s badge. She took Natalie’s hand and placed the badge in her palm. “Open it. It has a loose end somewhere.”
Natalie looked at it. She tried cracking it with her nails. “What do the codes as you say, mean?” she managed to pull the lid out of the back of the badge.
It looked like the inside of a digital watch.
Ingrid traced the boxes on the print. “There are pack of resistors and, and min-capacitors… right?” she said and lowered the print to hear Natalie’s response.
“Yeah.” Natalie replied. “Is this supposed to be a device to decode a bomb?”
“Yes.” Ingrid replied and took up the paper again. “There are words here… amh,” she squinted her eyes. “Fill the gap.”
Natalie glanced at her. “What gap?”
Ingrid strode forward to Natalie, looking at the badge. “Check for any gap.”
Natalie did.
“Wait, this does look like a watch.” Ingrid said, just realizing it.
Natalie blinked quickly, staring at the atmosphere, Kenneth did mention a connection between Trevor’s watch and the President’s badge.
“There.” Ingrid said, placing her fingertip on an empty space between red wiring.
Natalie looked at the badge again. “Yeah. I see it.” She dismissed the thought of Kenneth in her mind for another time.
Ingrid drew back and raised the blueprint in front of herself. “It goes on here… Fill the gap with the chip, amh…” she narrowed her eyes. “OMG this sheet is all messed up.”
“The water ey?”
“Yeah. Amh… fill the gap with the chip…. In the… watch?” she read and ended up in a queer.
Natalie’s eyes glowed with an enlightening. That must have been Trevor’s watch!
“Watch?”
Natalie almost jumped back with a new voice that came behind her, asking.
She spanned around quickly to incur Nicky’s sight.
She had made her way unnoticed as the girls were focused on Erin’s message and distracted by the leaking toilet tank.
Nicky held a barrel gun, tapping it on her palm.
Natalie stared at her dreadfully. Fear traveled in her blood.
“I was kinda expecting, calculator or… I dunno. But, a watch?” Nicky went on.
Natalie turned to Ingrid but, she was also holding a gun and pointing it at her.

Natalie’s eyes widened with shock. What?

Who was Ingrid pointing the gun at? stay tuned to find out.....

Chapter 14- episode 12

              HAMERTON

Hallow new readers & Happy Sunday to you all!

Previously on Hamerton;
Five years back;
A middle aged man stood in front of a sick bed in a large hospital ward. He had been standing there a while watching a boy that lay on the bed. The only sound in the room was the ECG machine and a soft tune that played from a MP3 player in the man’s coat pocket. At a point, the music paused.
As he waited, a younger man walked in. He was tall with ebony hair jellied back to suit his looking. He wore a black T-shirt and black trousers that also matched with his boots. He strolled slowly to the man.
“Why did you do this?” The older man asked before the younger man even greeted. “Kenneth. Why?” he added in agony.
Kenneth smirked and continued with what brought him without minding his father’s question. Trevor was the boy laying on the sickbed, dying. “You know obviously that my own DNA does not exactly match with Trevor’s. We have different mothers.” He informed. “But, there’s a girl I know. I did my investigations. Somehow, her kidney is apt for transplant to Trevor.”
Father turned to him with a queer look on his face. “How is that possible? I have no other child than you three.”
“I can’t explain myself. But, the doctor also said that, it can be possible. She can donate the kidney to Trevor if, she wanted to. We cannot guarantee her willingness.”
Mr. Tommy looked away and back at his son. “What if we offer her money?”
“No. Her family is very rich. Father, I’m sorry that I’m mentioning this but, if you want your son back. I don’t. You,”
“You don’t have to remind me that.” He interrupted him. “Tell me what I have to do. I can’t lose my Trevor.”
“No. You can’t. Anyway, my ways may be brutal but, it’s your best chance of recovering your son.”
Mr. Tommy raised an eyebrow. “What? Are you suggesting… that? Kenneth?”
Kenneth sighed with impatience. “Yes, I’m suggesting a way to bankrupt her family and so they get into the need of money and allow their girl to give up her kidney for Trevor.”
“Does it have to come to that? What if we beg them? Despite that, everyone has a price. Even me. Who are they anyway? The family.”
“Oh, trust me, you don wanna know.”
“I do. Spit it out, now.”
“Trevor’s mom’s rivals. Stewart.”
“Dairy Stewart? The chairman of EC party?”
“Exactly.”
“That’s right. They will never help us, even if we gave them all the money in the world. My Monica can’t help either, since she’s lost her mind. She has a kind speech if she was mentally well she could have talked them into donating their girl’s kidney to our son.”
“What a pity.” Kenneth contributed sarcastically.
Dad frowned. “You caused all these. Doesn't your conscious disturb you? What did Trevor ever do to you?”
“You should be thankful that I got him an organ donor.” Kenneth replied.
Father turned back to the bed. He was grieving inside for the cruelty of his first son that got his second son there. He did not understand why, he did not understand where he failed as a father. He turned back to Kenneth. “Kenneth, once your brother is all alright, can you please forgive whatever he did to you? Can you mend your relationship with him and… even if you don’t love him as a brother, just don’t mistreat him.” He paused. “I can give you anything, anything that you want. Go anywhere. You can live in whatever country you like, you can go on a world tour. I want peace. I want the good of Trevor.”
Kenneth chuckled grinning devilishly. “Just tell me if we can take care of that family.”
Father sighed. He knew that he did not get into him. He could never get into him. “Let me take care of that. I don’t trust you that much.”
“Trevor’s gonna die.”
“Not yet. He can settle with weekly dialysis for a few months while I, specifically I, find a way to engage with the Stewarts to be part of our family.”
“Not gonna happen.”
“Why not?”
“First of all, the boy doesn't have a few months, secondly, how will you be able to talk to that family?”
“I’ll just try to be more like Monica.”
Kenneth laughed.
“I am going to do it.” Father added.
“And Trevor’s life expectancy? What are you going to do about that?”
“He can do with dialysis, I have already talked to the doctor.”
“Whatever you say I guess.”
Father took some time in silence. He was quickly arranging his plans in his mind. He realized that he also needed confirmation on his target. “The Stewarts? You’re sure.”
“You can double check if you think I’m lying.”
“Just tell me how you found out.”
“That’s my secret pops.”
“Then, why did you go looking for a donor in the first place? You don’t want Trevor to die?”
“I do but then, you could disown me or something. I can’t afford that.”
“For all you did, kidnapping Monica, turning her crazy, you deserve to go to jail.”
“Pops, you need me. One way or another. Okay, maybe I was a little harsh with your second wife, Monica but, you tell me that, if I did not kidnap her, would you have escaped the corruption charges that were against you?”
At the bed, Trevor squeezed his hand into a fist. He heard his brother’s voice, the first sound after waking from an induced sleep.
Mr. Tommy did not reply and Kenneth pat his shoulder. “By getting Monica out of the way, I did us both a favor. You became a senator and now I can conduct my business smoothly across the borders. It’s only Trevor who is so far at a loss. But, when he grows up, he might understand.”
Mr. Tommy sighed deeply.
“Cheer up pops. I’m leaving the family in your hand. The steward of our home in London just called. I told him that you’re busy and so you are.”
“Is everything okay there?”
“There was a robbery or something.”
“Anything stolen?”
“Pops, that’s the definition of robbery, stealing.”
“Okay, what was stolen?”
“I want to go there personally to find out.”
Mr. Tommy stretched his palms. “Just make sure that you spend a week there or months, or even a lifetime.”
Kenneth laughed. “You will miss me.”
Trevor heard footsteps and the door was opened. Kenneth must have left. He smiled.
Mr. Tommy glanced at the bed. How much Trevor is afraid of his brother, he is gone and Trevor is smiling now. He thought.
Trevor was happy but, from another reason. His own deal to kidnap his mom was a success. He made sure to keep her wherever his brother and dad will not reach her.

Present day;
“What now?” Natalie asked as they came out of the building through the fire exit and emerged into the school back yard. “Did you get the gate-passes?”
“No.” Ingrid said, walking ahead of Natalie to a shortcut path to the girl’s dormitory.
“What? Then how are we supposed to wake Trevor?”
“We?” Ingrid called as the distance between them expanded.
Natalie had to run to her. “I don’t understand you.”
“He is already awake.”
Natalie frowned. “But, how? He needs to hear my voice or maybe if I kiss him or something. That is how he is supposed to wake up.” She paused, wondering. “Am I right?”
“Maybe that would have worked but, it’s not what me and Steven discussed.”
Now Natalie was more confused. “I don’t get it. Ingrid, he is a bad guy!”
“I know Natalie but, he is helping now.”
They approached the building and entered the hallway of the dorm house. It was quiet and lonely. All other students were in the school campus for questioning over the murders.
“How do you know that Trevor is up and that Steven hasn't lied to you again and killed him? Ingrid? Open your eyes. Steven is a bad person, we have to see Trevor to confirm that he is really awake and doing fine.”
Ingrid rounded her eyes and spanned around to face her. “Okay. I will tell you what happened.”
Natalie nodded. “Great because, I don’t understand.”
They talked inside an elevator that lifted them to the 13th floor of the building.
“Beginning with Trevor, Steven suggested that we should move him to London.”
“London?” Natalie repeated.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because, his mom, Monica is there and, he would be okay with her.”
“Ingrid. You accepted to drag Trevor’s sick mom to the problems that your Steven created? How do you expect that the lady will take it seeing her son lay like a vegetable in front of her?”
“He is already awake, Natalie. Don’t you get it?” Ingrid snapped.
“How?” Natalie inquired, irritatingly.
“Well… he has a song he likes. Steven had his uncle play it for Trevor. That woke him.”
Natalie furrowed her eyebrows. “I didn't know of that.” She said feeling down about it. “So, have you talked to him to make sure that he is fine?”
“He can’t talk. But, he makes movements.”
“What makes you so sure?”
“I trust Steven.”
Natalie was angry. “Why?”
Because he has never lied to me. Ingrid thought of saying but, she did not.
“Ingrid. I don’t know how much your cousin means to you but, he, he is the love of my life and I will not be contented with what you’re telling me.”
Ingrid opened her mouth to retort but, she refrained. She spoke calmly instead. “Natalie. I have to trust Steven. You and I have no choice but, to do so.” The elevator opened but, neither of them walked out. “We can’t leave the school campus without gate-passes and Erin left an encrypted message that we have to retrieve.”
“Message?” Natalie asked.
Ingrid walked out first and she followed.
“What message did Erin leave?” Natalie asked.
“One concerning what we are currently holding. The President’s badge.”
Natalie folded her face with astonishment. “I don’t understand. Did she also ask that you recover the badge after she would be gone? Did she know that she was going to die?”
Ingrid emerged to her room that she shared with Erin. She halted at the doorway in front of Natalie and looked around. “Great. The police haven’t shown up here, yet.”
Natalie glanced inside the room as well. There was one bunk bed opposite the entrance with the lower bed roughly arranged. Some clothes hanged on one full-length mirror on one side of the room and the closet beside it was widely opened.
“I see your point.” Natalie agreed.
Ingrid walked further into the room and stopped at the lower bunk bed, raising the mattress.
Ingrid took out a crumpled sheet of paper below the mattress and turned to Natalie, holding it.
“What is that?” Natalie asked.
“Her message.” Ingrid said and unfolded the paper quickly.
Natalie dashed behind her to get a glimpse of three large figures that were hand written on the large piece of paper.

1                                2                                       3

"What does that mean?" Natalie asked with puzzlement.
